You can conveniently acquire Thi3af on Steam. Like I have a few weeks ago. The first Thief game, if you can get it to run, is also surprisingly playable.

Didn't Pejyjyj and Jade exchange really disturbing bacon jokes through the game? I always assumed there were regular animals on one hand, but also a sapiens flavor of a bunch of them...

One outta 20 gamers will enjoy something esoteric like The Path, the rest will be confused. Does this mean the game should get half a point?

I hear it is cell-shaded.

Didn't Hot Scoops work for Gearbox for a little while there?

The good thing is that it seems they got the budget to make it more "realistic", as in grittier, less cartoony. MAYBE Ubisoft cares about the property to dump more money on it, and see if it catches the second time around. MAYBE Ubisoft gave money under the stipulation that the game be more Mirror's Edge and less Zelda. MAYBE this has nothing to do with the moneyhats and has all to do with Ancel's idea of what the game ought to be. Also, I may have dreamt this: around the time the teaser came out someone connected with the game said that the fault of the first one was that it wasn't accessible enough for the general audiences. There was something else in there that made me conclude in horror that this meant BG&E2 was going to be at worst like Longest Journey 2 at best like Raving Rabbids, in its misguided attempt to appeal to a frighteningly dull and possibly imaginary casual audience. Was I the only one who had this kind of impression?

I wouldn't mind, except I DON'T SPEAK FINNISH.

If Sony's propagating it, the joke's on them though. This whole exercise looks like it should fall under fair use as satire, but we're really not taking anything that is copyrighted from them, we're spoofing their trademark, which is a whole other ballgame. A more fascist, less nuanced ballgame. Plus, I don't know how affectionate this parody is, it is pretty vicious.

I wish you played as one of those little dudes that appear in a cave around a fire in the closing of the trailers. I really dug Gothic 1. Played it through one and a half times, once as a fighter, half a time as a wizard (it was interesting how the mechanic of the gameplay changed). I bought Gothic 2 as soon as it came out tried to play it many times over the years, but never got past walking down from the tower to the city. I can't remember what it was that pissed me off and made me stop playing time and again. Give me a good reason to give Gothic 2 another chance. Go!

I hope that whoever buys the license buys the old unfinished code as well, all of the goddamn builds from the last fifteen years, and throws some sweet vids of them on the youtubes.

Weren't the radio stations all written by the guy who voiced the Laslow dude, who is some sort of an American and some sort of radio personality? I recall a story wherein one of the designers met him somewhere once while body surfing or god knows what, they had a nice interesting long chat about whatever and then later he was tapped to write and perform the radio bits.

what the shit @ this movie is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Sony Pictures Entertainment. I wish I had the patience to find a duplicate. Alas.

Neither one of them would make a true movie version of GTA, that said, their versions would probably be hella awesome, and more watchable than a "true" GTA movie.

But the hair! Look at the hair! You must play just for the hair.

Nah, I think their parents thought they were possessed by the Holy Ghost or some such crap. Maybe this kind of rabidly histrionic performance is the mime equivalent of speaking in tongues?

Watch this in hi-def, full screen. Pretty rad. Also, a semantic observation: it seems "Youtube", as used in the title of this thread, has come to comfortably embody any kind of easily-accessible, flash-based online video. This is the first instance that I have consciously observed this. In marketing we would call it loss of brand control, what is this called more specifically, as pertaining to evolving language?

My girlfriend, who went to mime school (PhD in imaginary boxes), says these dudes don't know shit. A little too "Lord Privy Seal" in their delivery. She had a more nuanced critique, but it is too technical for you muggles.

GDC! Idle Thumbs Conf Grenade 2: Don't look at me, I'm Hideo
MrHoatzin replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
No, 'cause Pasternak sucks monkey balls. You can call me Steven like everyone else does. -
I'd figure, if there is already a thread about the game on the forums, link to it. If there isn't, don't. More: section seems well-suited for this kind of thing. Well, had all that happened, I would've taken it in stride. Note that I wasn't dreading or lamenting that happening. I was just half-expecting it to happen. I figure a less constricting format would be better than a more constricting one.

This is a good example of syntheticgerbil using his best judgment on the matter.
