So basically, a log sticking out of the ground will automatically sprout foliage over time or did you have to hide some dirt blocks in the structure and plant up until it caught?
-
... and not fall off ledges. Bioware games have no ledges to fall off of, so who cares about the walking speed?
-
Be that as it may, it was an interesting question that didn't get answered.

My compass points to spawn.

No, you're right. It was completely preposterous and all around .

Who was the joker who filled my elevator with a column of lava yesterday? There was a column of lava from the floating island in the sky all the way to the bedrock. Took me one and a half full stacks of dirt to knock it out.

Double K, wtf is up with that? Get a real name.

Ok, but it is a completely throwaway thing. They did it, it may have been neat for a demo or two. Jumping the shark to me implies a kind of creative bankruptcy and death of whatever it was that jumped the said shark. I don't think someone who made a silly mod can, technically thrust jump-a-sharkiness upon whatever the source game(s) may be.

I thought it was random, the music trigger. A lot of this stuff reminds me of the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

I have had absolutely no issues with water. Lava, however, is a completely different beast.

You must have only one water block high water for this to work. You can knock out the lower levels if you want to later. Works fine on the server.

Maybe if there was some sort of complex interaction, like building things or picking items from the inventory that also went haywire so your dude would be putting blocks or breaking them somewhat randomly as you scanned around the world. Or, if this was that kind of game, if during a conversation, you picked an option that sounded guarded and nuanced, but when the drunken character delivers it, it goes way too far?

Happy birthday, birthday thread Errki!

Personally, I really dig the sudden change of rules. Mixes things up, forces you to change how you do stuff. I hope the torches can still be seen when they die out, like a red ember in the dark. So that you don't set yourself on fire while trying to light shit. Would be awesome if you could just carry a torch with you.

Goddamn, dude. Fire bad.

Thanks! What kind of an arrangement do you have? Like a private box or some dude who sublets minecraft servers, how does this work?
-
Man, I've been postponing playing the game for a few days now, and now that I sit down to play, the server is borked—but it is not even the usually borked server, but a whole new one.

At some point you have to wonder if they make these depictions of gamers preposterous on purpose. Dude plays a battle in second life with a calculator. Also, that episode of Law & Order has been co-produced by Speed Weed.

I disagree about the cinematography, but I see your point about the story.

Pft, fuck the shack. They have a million people. Anyway, the new "textured" snapshot doesn't show anything that I've made.

Oh, hah, I didn't realize the link statue was in on the thumb server. Fun times.

There will be, they are just currently turned off because there is no player damage. Single player and MP will eventually be exactly the same, except one is multiplayer and the otherone is not.

It is the gameiest game since video games were invented. Minecraft (Lego) is right up there with GTA3+ (toy cars, war) as one of few "video" "games" to actually be proper aimless, self-directed games.
