Dude! It is unhealthy to be doing stuff on your computer when it's defragmenting itself. A lot of data is being moved around, if something goes wrong and some program commits hara-kiri, possibly important information may be lost. When defragging I summarily turn off everything in the background and unplug the net cable... then I bite the keyboard cable in half and throw the mouse over the far ledge of my table -- just so that I wouldn't be tempted to do anything.

Aye.Inspired by you, I did a defrag myself and everything is in line... exept for a few steam files... which are only some 250Mbs...

My first reaction was more along the lines of:

Bummer you can't use the grav gun to pick up bodies like in that tech demo...

Ever since I updated my machine I've had no problems with anything whatsoever. Shocking really. All the games that were buggy to others were just fine for me, the windows has never crashed and there are no adverse hardware problems on the whole.

I believe I am living the American dream: I am fat, undersexed, rude and poor but I entertain delusions of vertical social mobility. That is all it takes...

It is a little known fact that the olden avatar was from a video that I have in fact seen. Boy, what a video! On camera she is not quite as neurotic as she is online. Edit: Never mind; I just watched the video.

I just bought the game and while installing from the 4th CD (out of five), the game reported error 1334 in halflife2.ico1 -- saying that it is not on the CD... and then it aborts and the game deletes what it has installed so far. I tried installing it twice and got the same shit both times. AAAAAAHHHH!!! If any of you motherfuckers mention downloading the game through Steam, or ask why I didn't buy the DVD-ROM version, I swear I'll ban your unconstructive ass.

No problems with the authetification. The occasional sound lag and the loading times are negligible on my machine, and I am running it on highest texture quality with most of the relevant bells and whistles. Alas, my monitor is dying so I can't see the game in its full glory -- but ladies and gentlemen! -- the little glory I've seen! I played with my mouth ajar...

Apparently, installing Counterstrike when you're installing Half-Life does the trick... the first two tries I clicked off Counterstrike from the install the following games list... -

That is it? One of them early previews made it seem like he was more mentioned than that; they sortof took it for granted that not only no one reading the preview missed that little sentence while playing the game, but that it was unmissable. I just figured I missed a lot of the story by ignoring all the jibba-jabba that the scientsitsitist and Barnies showered me with... Fuck you.

Wait, Dr Kleiner is the fellow in the Lambda lab in Black Mesa?

I take it this is some sort of insidiouse joke I am not privy to.

As far as I remember, they thought they needed novelty to appeal to the kids who liked canned fun (as opposed to creative fun) and they came out with the Harry Potter and Star Wars sets that cranked up their profits, but once that market was saturated the profits tapered off and they lost some money... maybe....Also, perhaps I have grown stronger, or maybe the American LEGOs are shittier than the European kind but the newer bricks seem flimsier than the olden ones.

Playmobil is LEGO for retarded and uncreative kids. You couldn't even assemble anything, everything came in one piece.

I never quite got into the GI-Joes or the Masters of the Universe and Thundercats were never particularly popular in Yugoslavia, but I had my fill of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... in all, I was more of a LEGO kid.

My opinion of you just went to hell.

I... don't... watch... TV.... Still it feels like a fake show name.... What are you trying to pull, punk?

That was a low blow...
