You gotta be mighty careful about rust. This japanese guy left his wife to go on a month-long business trip but didn't trust her and so forced her to wear a chastity belt the entire time. PCI-Ex is technically more advanced than AGP in that it effectively gives you twice as much fire power than older cards could handle. However, those figures are based on nVidia's own PR and have not been prooved to bare much resemblance to real world results. I would suggest you hold out on getting that beefy card just yet as it is only the first of this breed. It's generally better to see what cards are favoured or rejected a few months after the new technology has been introduced. That's what I'm doing anyway, especially considering the fact that it's gonna need a whole new motherboard.

I liked the broken sword one that let you play breakout while it was installing a (in those days) massive 200 megabytes! More installations should have stuff to keep you occupied while they run; a pretty picture slide show just doesn't cut it. The Operation Flashpoint install, while bland, had some cool 50's style radio announcements and music playing through the sequence. cool.

Er...I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but those specs arn't all that hot. It's an 'about average' machine but nothing special. Admittedly, games should be tailored specifically to run at their best on average machines but they seldom are (Halo and DX2 being the first examples off the top of my head) Don't worry stevey steve, i've got a copy of the original Tea Leaf if you want it. god i hate it when people go on about myst (mainly mac users). It's such an over-rated example of quantity over quality. All very pretty but nothing else going for it. Why anyone would feel entranced by a £35 slide show sprinkled with some seriously b-grade acting is beyond me. Also while we're on the subject: Myst. Worst. Ending. Ever.

ok, that pretty much nullifies my comment, but still. I know his movies arn't expected to have sizzlingly good dialogue but surely even he should realise it was just plain bad. I mean...hmm...i don't know if i can think of any of his films that wasn't afflicted by this. I once watched the phantom menace with the sound off and, you know what? I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more.

you shouldn't need the repair skill (i didn't) you should be able to get most of the funny dialogue by just talking to him normally and then some more once you find out what's in AGA's spoiler.
