the three part documentary I saw, deals more with 'what is a corporation' they even pychoanalize the corporations. It's got your 'standard' corporation scams the public and stuff like that, but it also lets the CEO's of those company speak their concerns. that's what makes this documentary a must see. The story of a wallstreet broker who tells you that they cheered on the war in Iraq, and where sad that the war didn't last long enough... Stuff like that. Go watch it

you did build an interrogation chair (or 2), right? And you also made sure they were put in a holding cell (and properly gloated at) before you interrogated them?

I found the correct way to calculate the proper memory cache settings: //---------------------------- // Set "image_cacheMegs" to about 1/4 of your total system RAM // Set "image_cacheMinK", using the formulas below. // // "image_cacheMegs" / 8 = n // n * 1024 = "image_cacheMinK" //---------------------------- //---------------------------- // Assuming you have 1 GB of system RAM seta image_cacheMegs "256" //---------------------------- //---------------------------- // Then this is assuming cacheMegs was "256" seta image_cacheMinK "32768" //---------------------------- //---------------------------- // This is the most important one, if useCache isn't enabled // then you won't see the benefits of the other two cvars seta image_useCache "1" //---------------------------- This tip was given by Rgoer, employee at Raven software, who is currently working on Quake4 Enjoy

Err to make this complete: you need to calculate the mink value too.. only thing is, I forgot how I'll update my post as soon as I remember YOu don't need a super computer to play Doom3, you need it to play Doom3 with every setting on drool-mode

Shaun of the Dead finally crossing the Atlantic
ysbreker replied to Jake's topic in Movies & Television
I do? And aparently that canal is about as wide as the atlantic ocean, damn you UIP for bringing this to the states before the european mainland. Marek, about your idea of towing california to europa and dumping it between brittain & the netherlands: I propose we reform the proto contionent, you know all the landmass together again. A comeback/reunion type of thing. -
I got it! its That was a memorable quote cause that meant your adventure with would be about to begin If you want I can type over that paragraph as to my that writer called C & c captain arsewipe and his pocket army, but now I'm just being lazy

I can still remember the funky voice of the E.V.A. say something along the lines of "please examine the readme file for last changes and notes" That was also so cool about the installer, it said most things to you instead of merely showing it on screen. And when the installer was done it seamlessly went over to the intro movie of the game. And before you knew it you were 5 hours further

I have to go with marek and jake here, there is only one contender and that is C&C tyberian dawn. No discussion possible All the following C & C games tried to emulate that but none of them got it right.

Fahrenheit 9/11 would have been awesomer if only—
ysbreker replied to MrHoatzin's topic in Movies & Television
It's on the number one position on the imdb.com boxoffice charts with a whopping 21.8 million dollars cash-in this weekend... Still want to see the movie here in the NL, eventho I know all about his Bin Laden <> Bush conspiracy. -

I hate cell-shading. If you want a cartoon looking game, then do it 'properly'
ysbreker replied to jp-30's topic in Video Gaming
So you want realtime cellshading done properly, right? Wel it can't be done (with modern day pc's at least). Simple as that. Cell shading costs your pc just as much trouble as your standard 3D scene, even if you'd think that cell shading is much lighter. THis link shows you what you can do when you render cell shaded properly. But not realtime -
"This is good, this is bad," or "This is the next big thing" are all in fact fads...
ysbreker replied to Jake's topic in Video Gaming
well what is a cutscene to you? is it a prerendered movie? Yes obviously. But is still a cutscene when it uses the ingame engine, but doesn't allow you to control the game? I think so... -
Did you really have to say that in pink?
-
Hmm. I'll have to ask Some experts I know but I think Quake3 already uses some form of raytracing to make the lightmaps, but that's done during map compile time, not realtime

Here in the NL (and in europe I think) Ubisoft is holding an summersale, splintercell for 19,95 euro, BG&e for 15 euro and all kinds of other recent ubisoft games priced very low
