Mein Thumbcraft—IdleT Dedicated Minecraft Server
ysbreker replied to MrHoatzin's topic in Multiplayer Networking
It would be nice to get added to the whitelist ysbreker is my minecraft name. -
Anyone heard lof and/or played Galactic Civilisations II? I'm thinking of buying it but I'm not entirely sure yet. gamespot gives it a 9.0 and calls it "The true successor to Master of Orion." Which is quite the claim. If it's true then It will be worth my money, BUt I need some more convincing. Anyone?

You all know Kutiman, right? He released a new mash-up and it's again quite spectacular: -

That QOTSA cover lost the best bit of the song in translation: The tempo changes during the chorus :/ Oh and the reason I came to this thread. I made two things to listen to: - A techno mix called Slow Down Speed Up - A rock mix called Music with Rocks In (tracklist) -
Have we talked about Europa Report yet? If not: Go see! It's of the same caliber as Moon. And might be even more awesome. More of this please! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2051879/ P.S. don't see the trailer or read anything about this movie! Just go see it.

There are two things that are stupidly hard to do in software development, no matter how talented or experienced you are: 1) Naming things 2) Budgeting time accurately, And I bet this goes double for game development.

I'm leaving on Sunday But don't let that stop you from meeting other thumbs people in the area!

It was fun meeting you all of you thumbs people! Nice to finally have met Chris & Famous in person

In a few hours I will hop on a plane to Sunny San Francisco! I hope to see all San Francisco thumbs at Dear Mom on Saturday! We'll be there from 4 in the afternoon!
-
As per the last podcast: who is up for some the ship action? I've got this fruitcake for the longest time and barely played it. When should we plan this? How about Friday evening 20:00 GMT?
-
I'll allow it.

How about around 4? That way we won't have to fight to find a nice place to sit.

I'm only days away from getting on a plane to San Francisco! I was hoping to do a meetup somewhere on Saturday the 29th of June. Who knows of a good place to meet up? I was thinking that we maybe could go to that bar they mentioned on the podcast & blog: http://dearmomsf.com/

Elementary is no that great compared to Sherlock. But on it's own it's pretty decent.

1) It seems there are quite a few Dutch thumbs people now. Maybe it's time for some kind of casual meetup to welcome I_smell to our little country? 2) I have a new job! I'm going to work for werkspot.nl in Amsterdam. I will be making a lot more per month now. I am quite excited! 3) I'm getting more nervous by the day for my trip to the US. Another thing I can't wait for! 4) Tomorrow is CSSday.nl in Amsterdam. I'm volunteering again so I get to meet all the cool people that do cool stuff with CSS and the people who actually write the CSS standard. 5) I can't stop listening to the new Queens of the Stone Age. It is very good.

You're there one week too late, Erkki! I'll be returning home on the 14th of July.

I backed this the second I saw the 'jokestealer trial version' watermark. No matter what the game will be like I know I will get my money's worth with the 2 player productions video updates. That's how I got my money's worth from the DFA kickstarter already!

I wish I could help in some way, Tegan. But I doubt that my money would arrive any sooner than the insurance money

Regarding the storm on Jupiter being the size of an ocean: at it's smallest it's still bigger than the Earth! (roughly 19000 kilometers or 12.000 miles) http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_big_is_Jupiter%27s_great_red_spot_compared_to_Earth How's that for a potential goatse

I am not a zipcar member, so I'm gonna have to rent a car. And we should totally do a thing! I'm fine where ever you guys want to meet up. Since I don't really know the city

My life is weird these days. Starting to stress out a tiny bit about my trip to the US in about a month, this on top of the stress/boredom of having no job at the moment. I'm desperately hoping I'll hear back from a company I really want to work for which also isn't really helping in the stress department. This whole job hunting thing reminds me once again that I absolutely suck at writing a motivational letter/email to accompany my applications. I know I'm really good at what I do (building websites) but I can't seem to put this into words correctly I am very glad I live in the Netherlands though. What with the unemployment benefits and the great healthcare we have here. Other than that I'm doing fine health wise. Had a lot of fun helping on their performance on the 5th of may festival in Den Bosch. I also helped the organisation of Mobilism on their third conference which meant meeting a lot of cool people who make the web such an awesome place for all of us I also gave myself an early summer present in the form of a GoPro camera! Hopefully I get to use this thing to make lots of cool videos on my trip down the California coast /lj Tegan: hang in there girl!

1) Scar behind my left ear due to several operations trying to fix my hearing when I was 6-8 years old. 2) Scar down the middle of my chest where they cracked me open for my heart surgery. 3) Two small scars on my midriff where the draining tubes were for my heart surgery. 4) Scar on my stomach where they opened me up for some emergency surgery on my intestines when I was about 1 year old 5) Scar on my right pinky from when I sat to close to someone doing woodwork when I was around 13 years old.

I have found a decent place to stay in the Castro neighborhood! Now all I need to do is rent a car, find some places to see & visit on my trip down route 1 to los angeles and las vegas. Oh and figure out a nice route back. And also figure out where to stay when I get back to SF after my road trip (before I fly back)
