They should have made a new NOLF (or NOLF like) game. At least something with humor in it. I loved the humor of No onle lives forver. I really miss that in modern day FPS-es. NOLF had exactly the right mix of humor and action for me. Please give us some more, Monolith!

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

You sir, are an idiot. Also: Thanks for the tip, wrestlevania! Right now I'm listening to the awesome sound of Daft Punk - rollin' and scratchin'. From the best electronic music album from the 90's: homework. -
Here we go: A list of hot titles I'm dying to see how they will turn out: The nintendo revolution (Do I need to explain this? It's the Revolution!) Bioshock -- The spiritual sequel to System shock, need I say more? Enemy Territory: Quake wars -- Made by splashdamage, who made Enemy territory, the game that kept me hooked for (almost) every evening for the last 3 years. Also somewhat interested in: Half life 2 episodes -- more Gordon goodness in episodic form \o/ Sin 2 -- another episodic FPS game, curious how this will work out. (links will follow later)

I had to turn it off as soon as I recognized they were raping grand master flash & the furious five.

Oh boy I really love the luisterpaal now! They've got the latest daft punk album for your listening pleasure online! Daft Punk - alive 2007 It's brimfull of superb remixes of all your favorite daft punk songs! gleeee! -
I think your gfx card has given up the ghost and is now broken. What you could try is reseating the card. (take it out of the slot and put it back in again) This way you might get it to work again. But it really sounds like a case of hardware failure to me :/

I presume your sister is now either physically or mentally injured in some way or form?

I too haven't finished System shock 2 because I got too scared. Even with cheats I was too scared to finish the game (This is also the reason why I still haven't finished bioshock. I'm such a pussy ). But Systemshock is worth playing, even if just to hear shodan say the following: 'lo-lo-look at you, hackers'. Just awesome!

I must really suck at platform gaming then because I can't get past the last bit of moving road. The part where you have to jump from pink cookies to caramel shapes and halfway through over one of those electrified beams. I never get past that beam. Before I even get there I've died ten times from falling of the road. and if I do get close to the beam I manage to electrocute myself and fall down again. It's a good thing you can get lives so easy there. but that level still is a bitch

Have you guys seen this? This really shows that gaming has become truly mainstream.

Ok SMG looks amazing. I've got about 7 stars now. But who-ever invented rocky road needs to be tortured. That level is mean!

I just bought* Super Mario Galaxy. I'm not too sure if I like the gameplay. But since I've only played for about an hour that isn't saying very much. *And Super paper mario. And thrillville. And some DVD's: Chocolat, I, robot, 12 monkeys, breakfast at tiffany's, revolver, brokeback mountain, goodbye lenin, big fish and sin city. Yeah I went a bit overboard at this DVD discounter. I couldn't let these titles pass me by for only 60 euro in total. (for the DVD's that is. The games were 120 euro in total) Me on a shopping spree is bad for my bank account edit: HOLY FSCK! I just found out that brokeback mountain comes with the latest Terry Gilliam movie: Tideland! Super bargain get!

Well here's a polite greeting back: Welcome! Maybe ginger can help with that...

I've got the wombats on repeat in the luisterpaal. Listen to it! You'll like it very much -
I'm afraid to ask, but here I go anyway: What's going to happen in february? Also: A belated happy birthday from me to you, Spaff!

Always check the end credits of zero punctuation. They often have the best bits of humor in them.

Ah! that explains a lot

The event has been posted ont he thumb steam group. But I'm confused at what time we're starting. Can anyone tell me what timezone the mentioned time is?

There is one error in his review of Airborne tho. The Germans actually built these massive fortresses called flakturms. He's still right about the gasmask wearing machingun carying nazi supersoldiers. I liked to play Airborne just to play with the scoped rifle, because it had this awesome depth of field thing which made everything look like this: more info here

I'm game for either the 3rd or the 4th

Mine was great! I went to robodock and got to see all kinds of cool stuff. Like the rare chance to see SRL perform a show in the Netherlands or the incredibly cool La machina with their performance of La Symphony Mecanique. A show where they use old machines and tools and turn them into musical intruments. But the best of all was the Serpent Mother. A 50 meter long serpent made out of steel and flames. Coolest thing ever was the fact that the audience can control the flames. The operators had everything hooked up to a mac where they could do all kinds of cool stuff using a wiimote. So waving the wiimote controls the flames. See it in action .After an excelent evening at robodock I hooked up with Marek to go the the coolest club in Amsterdam: Club 11. This club is situated on the top floor of an old office building where they have this restaurant/club/bar thing going. During the day you can eat there and in the evening they transform half the room into a nightclub with a great view of the city. We get to see Swayzak perfroma great liveset. Superb visuals and great music in a supercool location means I had a great weekend! So anyway, how was your weekend?

Uh? Both games? There is only one portal as far as I know of?

Also new in the luisterpaal (listeningpost) this week is the new solo album of roisin murphy. I think I like this a lot better than the latest hives album. You just got to love the 3voor12/VPRO luisterpaal! -

There's a new The Hives album out. Not exactly convinced this is a good record yet. You can listen to it here if you want. -
The ET medic is a solo playing rambo self healing bastard compared to the medic from TF2. If you play ET long enough you'll grow more than tired of those rambo medics running around not caring about the objective. This is absolutely not the case with TF2. Since the medic can't heal himself and has very limited offensive capability.
