Since we've passed the 77K dollar mark I though it would be nice to celebrate with some pictures I took some of (tufted) puffins in the Central Park Zoo this summer!

I just saw Never let me go. Man that movie is depressing Still very good though.

Just last week I finished the fifth Wool book. It's a book series about life in an underground bunker after some unspecified apocalyptic event. Stuff I watched recently: - In time. AVOID AT ALL COST. What was an interesting premise got turned into a giant turd of a script with crappy acting. :tdown: out of - The new season of justified. Entertaining show about cops int he sticks with decent acting. out of 10 cows. - Southland. A show about the police in south LA. Makes you think LA is this > < close to total anarchy but nice to still those 'The Wire' withdrawal feelings. :tup: out of Donkey. - The new girl. A comedy with zooey deschanel. Pretty entertaining story about Zooey living with 3 dudes in a fancy apartment. out of 2 boobs.

I just watched Tucker & Dale vs Evil. That movie is brilliant! A classic horror flick with all the standard tropes of that genre but such nice twist to it. Just so damn funny. :tup: I also saw It's a kind of funny story. also excellent. A kid checks himself into a mental hospital and ends up on the adult ward with some rather special characters. I saw Pandorum last night. A most excellent scifi movie. A bit of a mix between Event horizon and Alien. Except for the ending. Which was rather impossible, sadly.

After reading that RPS preview I'm very interested in this game. A future noir setting ala blade runner? Yes please!

Heh, that was an artifact from the pilot. Someone thought it would look cool and they were stuck with it for the rest of the show. They realized later that it was a stupid thing but couldn't easily fix it anymore.

Fringe got better every episode. This last season has been amazing so far! :tup: Sadly Fox decided to move fringe to the friday night death slot. So I fear this will be the last season I just saw Wristcutters: a love story. Go see this! A dark comedy/romance movie about a guy who kills himself and wakes up in an afterlife where everything is the same except shittier. Filled with people who killed themselves. The trailer tells it better: It's also got Tom Waits in it!

Yeah The Social Network was incredibly good. I'm surprised to no end that this was made at all. I mean the amount of lawyers on this film must have been impressive. The soundtrack (in part) by Trent Reznor fit the movie really well. And David Fincher is just one of the best directors of this decade I think. I wonder what he will make of the Girl with the dragon tattoo remake.
