Haha oh man. The hand of Remo reaches far.

Ah I think you're describing Will Smith The Fresh Prince's trip, not Steve's.

Credit goes to Sean Vanaman of Telltale for the whorehouse doorknob line. He bailed us out on that one, and Alex Ashby of your most wonderful dreams gave us the tomb one later on. Extreme thanks to our friends for writing jokes for us in the middle of the night. Also provided for "as cold as...:" ... three cubes in the bottom of a glass, ... a yeti's earlobes, ... a beer fit for Jesus, ... a dame's stare when you tell her you've killed her man. And a biscuit was also "as bitter as baby tears."

Welcome to the forums, and thanks for plugging that!

Haha right when GiantBomb's database opened up, or at least when it was still early days, I went in and added info for some Telltale games and for a few of my friends, and threw my stuff in there as well. I love the GiantBomb game database. It's rough still but we're slowly working towards hooking up the "Games Discussed" lists on the homepage to it through their API. You are quite welcome.

quaint hacky solutions that we're proud of or amused by
Jake replied to MrHoatzin's topic in Idle Banter
Nearly everything I end up putting in a Telltale game is a quaint hacky solution that I'm proud of or amused by, (un?)fortunately. -
We're not recording until tomorrow night so you're probably SOL on that.
-
********* ? Haha that was censored on the Telltale forums for a while too. I don't know why Doug and I have a fixation with censoring *********.

Today can only mean one thing... or can it? "The Dreamcast" For just one night, into your face we cast not pods, but dreams. Our dreams are powered by robot hands with pistol grips, three part harmonies and too many microphones, but we're thinking you'll find something you like. Games Discussed: The Beatles: Rock Band, Left 4 Dead 2, DeathSpank, Shank, Torchlight, Mass Effect 2 (spoiler free!), Supreme Commander 2, Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station, Novint Falcon, dreamcast, nights into dreams

This thread is suspicious, but I have no self control. At this point I'm almost certain it was Nick who made the original Baboo, as he sometimes emits an unfiltered natural one when laughing in a surpised way. YOU HAVE UNLOCKED A SPECIAL VERSE!!!11 TheTruth behind Ziggy The Entertainment Expo and Al the fucking hologram It makes goofing wizard sounds but he knows not what it does: Blam! He keeps their spirits up by making up his lies It looks just like a shitty plastic rubix cube to Jake's eyes Fee fie foe false. Tree city Acockalypse

If QuickTime loads it up in Firefox, you can still just go File > Save Page as, and type in whatever.mp3 and it'll save the file out to disk as an mp3.

Who's your friend who does the artwork? It looks like he, or the Life Well Wasted guys, likes Olly Moss a lot. The A Life Well Wasted site and art is pretty nice and clean. I should listen to this!

They're tract wells built from a template. Safer to raise kids there than in a more urban environment.

So that's what you've been up to! Awesome, I'll be sure to check it out.

Hahaha oh man best birthday card by JamesM. That's epic. happy birthday!

Hahaha I'm glad that didn't go unnoticed. I didn't fully catch it until listening back through the episode.

You're right that it looks like there's tweening and joint stuff being done in Flash, sometimes making it look like a collection of illustrations of limbs being held together by brads or rivets (the Esurance ads do a similar thing), but it still looks a lot cleaner and has a lot more animation variety going on (for that level of fidelity) than most games attempting that style.
