Enjoy-a you podcast. Put On the Top Ghost Sometimes a game blows up in your face, 106 moves in. Sometimes a tutorial man tells you the controls backwards, just because. Sometimes, no matter what you try, the old man just can't kill that snake. When the world's got you feeling down, do what we do, and put on the top ghost. Games Discussed: Empire: Total War, Tom Clancy's HAWX, Up, Mirror's Edge Pure Time Trials, Team Fortress 2, Super Mario World, Half-Life Episodes

Unlikely that its placeholder. That said, probably wouldn't be unlikely either for Valve to re-record it anyway for some reason or another before the game comes out.

The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 8: A Castro Situation
Jake posted a topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
This is kind of our catch-up episode after six weeks away, so you guys may have heard about some of this stuff before... A Castro Situation As E3 approaches, as the music genre splits to offer the ultimate fantasy or the ultimate reality, as the future of games prepares to descend in a storm of cameras and holographic children, we talk about a bunch of things with little to no bearing on E3. For now, at least. With special guests Sean Vanaman, and a tape recording of Nick Breckon. Games Discussed: Rock Band 3, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Red Dead Redemption, Alpha Protocol, Neptune's Pride, Hearts of Iron 3, Civilization Revolution (iPhone) -
Alternate title: Key 'Bargo "Raising the 'Bargo" We return from break full of questions. Why are all the best games about America made in Europe? Does your game dialog sound more like Steven Seagal or John McClane? Is there going to be a twist? We don't know, but we really want to tell you why the Moon is awesome. Games Discussed: BioShock 2, Mafia 2, WET, Rogue Warrior, 6 Days in Fallujah, Nintendo DSi, StarCraft: Ghost, BioShock 5: To The Moon

Incorrect. I don't think that's the road to a good podcast. ... though I guess that may be why you have that hypothesis. :/ -
The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 8: A Castro Situation
Jake replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
We probably had time in hindsight, but this episode spent a long time being recorded. Long lead-up before we started, long break, etc. It made us think the episode was going to be stupid long so we should stop. And then it was like an hour and a half, which isn't bad by recent standards. -
"KOTH Achievement Idle" is my favorite part of that guy's update. It is one of the most popular maps. after all. Makes sense.

If you like fun Raimi horror, you should see Drag Me To Hell. It was marketed horribly, but it's great fun. Less splattering blood and stuff, but it's so confidently and meticulously crafted, it's ridiculous. It doesn't feel like there's a wasted or superfluous shot or sound effect or music cue in that movie.

There was a period of time in the mid 2000s when I played Worms Armageddon online almost daily, with people from Mixnmojo/Idle Thumbs. It was good. I miss it. Will the revived high res/"new" W:A ever show up on PC?
-
Until one shows up and injects something into your neck while you sleep. Fuuuuck.

Except, unfiltered Boen has always been the "Zombie" voice, as that's how he sounded in the opening of Curse before turning into a demon, at which point they added weird vocoding.

I don't know why they dont support cmd-tab on the Mac version. You can cmd-f to toffle full screen/windowed, but it might be annoying. Not sure.
-
Does cmd-Q not work? What.

Don't semi-recent MacBook Pros have two different GPUs? Mac Steam can prompt you to switch to the better (but more power-hungry) one, and we didn't know they had that flag until 302. So, if you're in power-saving mode, it should always warn you now when launching a Sam & Max game. Thanks Me too... obviously
-
Assuming you downloaded Mac 302 after 6pm pacific time (you'll have version 1.0.1.25 instead of 1.0.0.25), your Mac performance should be... real... and not the hobbled insanity that was episode 301. We'll be updating Mac 301 soon as well.
-
I don't know quite how the messaging or actual path works, but you should be receiving the whole season, as they're released, one ep at a time. I don't know if the store updates your PS3 automatically or if you need to check once a week, but .... somehow you have them
-
Try kicking graphics quality down to 6, which kills realtime shadows. Some Macs seem to be really eating our shadow implementation, and we're working on it.
-
I can't make it either. I'm not visiting England right now, sorry.
-
My advice is to play the new ones first and then if you like them, go back and check out the old stuff. The first season is, in my opinion, really well written, and has some clever stuff in it (especially in the second half), but it's a lot more rough and its "this is our first try at this!" nature shows pretty clearly. As a first impression you're probably better off with the newest season.

Probably in an episode wit some other total war game discussed. We talked about "cold war total war" once i think.

Is Four Lions good? I like Morris' stuff up through and including Jam, but am always dubious when so much time has passed between works. .... Oh yeah he did Nathan Barley didn't he?
-
If you guys start echoing the thread from LucasForums I will be sad.

I think for a living he ... lives off the money (millions?) made when Humongous Entertainment was sold to Atari.
