I really liked the new spider man.
-
He has quoted that aloud in my presence before and I can’t remember if it was on air.

This is an unlikely-to-be-answered deep cut, and may not even exist, but is there an episode in which Chris says “for years I’ve been perfecting my algorithms” in a cheesy German accent?

Twin Peaks Rewatch 31: Fire Walk With Me This week, enjoy our discussion of the Twin Peaks film, Fire Walk With Me. It's a double-size episode about what is essentially two movies in one: the investigation of the Teresa Banks murder, and the final days of Laura Palmer. We think it's great. Join us! Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Subscribe to the RSS Feed Subscribe on iTunes Catching up? Listen to the Rewatch archive. Also as said at the end of the episode, next week is a mix of discussing FWWM-related listener mail, and discussing Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces. So if you have the Complete Mystery Blu-Ray be sure to watch The Missing Pieces for next week. Otherwise, please send in your thoughts on Fire Walk With Me! The week after next is likely our last episode until the new season starts up (Crazy!!!), which will be mostly focused on reader mail and closing thoughts on what will be the Complete Twin Peaks until next year.

But we have a solid, meaty Idle Weekend for you, ripe with discussions of long-running franchises we have a long relationship with, our trials in not ruining games for ourselves, and the utterly bananas part time work experiences gained by working for weirdos. I just got the Final Dossier last night and am about half way through. I'm not going to say much until I get done with the book, but what do you all think? Spoiler note: If you're spoiler-averse I recommend not reading this thread if you haven't read the book, as the book is nothing but page after page reveals of characters' fates.

Twin Peaks Rewatch 27: Variations on Relations It's another enjoyable but aimless episode of Twin Peaks! As we close in on the series finale, the full suite of late-season-two plot threads chugs along. At least we're always glad to see Gordon Cole. Twin Peaks Rewatch 26: On The Wings of Love As we approach the series finale, Twin Peaks has returned to Twin Peaks, and we're pretty pleased about it. On the other hand, Lost has also come to Twin Peaks, and we're sort of confused about that. In any case, we had fun with episode 26, "On the Wings of Love"! Idle Thumbs 320: Building Bridges at PAX East 2018

Idle Thumbs 320: Building Bridges at PAX East 2018 All of our lives have been upended because of some pretty awesome news (read item one here, and item two here), and it has had the unfortunate effect of knocking our recording schedule totally out of whack. So for this month's Idle Thumbs we have something a little different! At PAX East 2018, Chris moderated a panel called "Building Bridges & Breaking Barriers" and we're privileged to share it with you! Here's the official description: This panel brings a diverse group of individuals together who are actively working – often times behind-the-scenes - in the game space to help bridge cultural gaps and create positive communities. Panelists will share personal stories on how they overcame cross-cultural challenges, not just in their own “backyard” but also across the world! We're not sure when a 100% regular schedule will resume but we'll keep you posted! In the mean time enjoy this episode and thanks for listening! OH MY GOD SO MANY DISGUISES IT TURNS OUT Twin Peaks Rewatch 24: Wounds and Scars Major Briggs and the Log Lady have a secret. A deeply unsettling man threatens the Hayward family after paying Donna a visit alone. It sounds like Twin Peaks again, until you get to drunk Sheriff Truman, the fashion show, the wild ferret attack. Twin Peaks is coming back to life, but it's not quite back yet in "Wounds and Scars."
