Its a twisty spiral of insanity.

Um. For the record, I don't think "id" settled on that punctuation for a LONG TIME. They were seen as "ID" "Id" "I.D." and "iD" in various places for a while. I think there is in fact an interview with one of them talking about that. I might be wrong, but I suspect the freudian "id" reading of their name didn't show up until the doom games or possibly even Quake era. They definitely weren't "Always id" for a long time.

Tim Schafer is older because he went and finished school I guess?

Theres a review of Doom 3 over at SA and while it's mostly the usual, there are some good bits... And... You might want to check out the rest of the review as well.

Yep that's sort of the point of the game The levels are basically video game level representations of those peoples minds.

Sorry I read that little exchange between you and Moos as Moos defending the thread as a whole because you'd posted something critical of it and then deleted the criticism... Weird.

Posting an audio clip of Dubya being laughed at by the American press isn't successful mocking for you? Maybe instead we should put up a clip of John Stewart laughing at his own jokes...

I doubt MI is a forbidden subject, as he links to MI content in his blog, its just the ridiculous off topic banter that seems to be there for the sake of scraping a little bit of validation out of Gilbert via reply to the comments or mention in a future post. Oh well, I probably would have done the same thing six or seven years ago. edit: Holy shit that's a scary frowning emoticon.

There's always um... Chicago? Um... during prohibition... ¬ Ok or not.

I don't worship him, but I do respect him for coming up with the general concepts of Monkey Island, insult swordfighting, etc. Not so sure if I want to see "Ron Gilbert Presents: Monkey Island 3: Real Edition" ever though. But hm, that's a pretty classic game name. Call up marketing.

I really liked the "bad 80s video camera" light trails in Vice City if that's what you're referring to with "nauseating video effect." That plus the red/orange color blow out effect when you look at the sun = extreme win in my mind.

Ah that guy. Right. I thought you were talking about that red guy because you were wondering about him earlier. That tall guy has been talked about by Tim before in some early Psychonauts coverage. You should be able to recognize him by his hat.
-
Tall guy? You mean the red guy with the hat... He looks a bit short really compared to everyone but Raz...

I76 ruled. Hilariously great soundtrack too. One of the few all live soundtracks from the mid-90s, "Outlaws" era. Except a funk band instead of Clint Bajakian and his guitar.

Its slightly different than that. Sort of a half way (three way? ¬ ) combo between force powers, zelda style items, and adventure inventory. In addition to the psychic powers, as Tim mentioned way back at E3 2002, Raz also has an adventure game style inventory in his backpack .. which are used to solve very adventure game style puzzles -
I used Doug's XBox controller + adapter to play the PC version of Broken SSword 3... it worked really well.
-
You might also look into getting a USB --> console adapter and buying a used/pre-owned PS2 or XBox controller from your local Gamestop/EB/Whatever. Might cost more but you'll probably get a more durable controller, and the button layout will be more Psychonauts friendly

"HucasArts," I believe? They were the company that definitely didn't make Star Wars Galaxies... or Sam & Max 2.

Well I'm just going to say this: Thank you Tim Shaeffer!
