I was at least expecting it to be well managed and slick. It was a very good attempt at slick -- lots of blaring lights and hip clubbers and also lots of well dressed black people -- except the celebrities all sounded like they were lying, and the games looked like they forgot to include textures, and were running at 10fps.

That TV special was one of the more awkward uninspiring things I've seen in a while. You can tell theres some cleverness going on somewhere, but it clearly wasn't on display in that show. Most awkward guests, and hosts, and geez the games all just looked... clunky. I'm sure the special will still do its job with its intended audience, but I thought it was pretty weakly done.

Meh. I think they're setting themselves up to market themselves into a very nicely selling console. Everyone shat on the Xbox 1, but everyone also shat in Windows, and on Internet Explorer, when they first came out. People continue to shit on them, but it sort of bounces off due to the whole "they both contrpl 90+% of the market share" thing. Microsoft wasn't the first company to make OS's, nor were they the first company to make web browsers. I don't think the fact that they came in late to the game console market has any bearing on anything.

Yeah it's great stuff. I didn't mean to sound like I was slagging it all off as a concept or anything, I was just amused with the tiny GB screen on the monster PSP LCD.

Plus Episode 3 is apparently the least shitty of the prequels. ... That is of course saying nothing at all, but I'll be going down with the ship just like everyone else. Probably not on opening night though, since E3 exists.
