I'm pretty sure LucasArts could re-release Hit the Road if they wanted, but they couldn't do any new Sam & Max stuff.

I think you're having trouble because their speech is inaudible over your whining.

* Olimar (preferably plus a small Pikmin force) * Waluigi (if Wario's there, Waluigi will likely be unlockable...) * Captain N: The Game Master (explains itself really)

You play a lot of 3D action based exploration games before Tomb Raider?

While the Ram Raider has some good points, I'm finding myself agreeing with SpiderMonkey. Rockstar is a brand of Take2. The likely reason that Take2 released this as a Rockstar game (coupling the R* logo with some hip looking 80s/60s branding) was to get their casual audience of fratties/Urban Outfitters and A&F shoppers to take note of the game, which wouldn't have happened otherwise. If they'd positioned it as a 2K Sports title, people would have written it off as a budget game. By slapping the R* logo on it its now innovative/edgy/different/"a big deal". That's not innovative or creative, its just good marketing. That said, the fact that Rockstar San Diego went from Midnight Club and Smuggler's Run to table tennis is still cool.

Wow I'm enjoying HL2ep1 far more than I was expecting (just finished chapter 2). Alyx being there really changes the mood of the game, and the game opening in a crazy flaming alien military base was really different atmospherically from anything else in the Half Life games (including the end of HL2), but it's all holding together really well. It feels different but still like a very believable and solid continuation of what came before. Also super gravity gun is best

Geez how ridiculous is that. Colbert has become very much like Chris Morris (Brass Eye/The Day Today Chris Morris, not CNN Money Chris Morris)... Except since he's in America in the '00s instead of England in the '90s, the idiocy level he's dealing with is amazingly higher than it was for Morris, so Colbert doesn't have to put on disguises and make up flyers for fake charitable and political organizations to get people to make asses of themselves... He gets invited to the white house as himself, shits on everyone, goes home and then an interview by him in which he's pretending to be a conservative asshole gets posted on the website of a legitimate conservative asshole. It's both amazing and depressing at the same time.

I love you, Spafford (The Spaff Appreciation Thread)

I for one hate it It is terrifying. -
You need to press into the wall a little so he will actually start sliding down it. It's the same in the 3D mario games as well. Pressing away from the wall makes him drop down instead of slide. Makes sense to me...

I used it to beat bowser (in world 1 boss form) in one hit, and then I felt guilty for it. The game is surprisingly easy, and each individual world is a bit short, which is disappointing. I'm still having a really great time with the game, but I was hoping we'd see some touches of later Mario 1 levels, or basically any Mario 3 level in terms of length and complexity.

Gah I only saw Miyamoto playing tennis - missed the earlier part. What I saw was great though.

The general consensus on Two Thrones is that it is a step back towards the awesome, and worth your time to play... but I haven't beat Sands of Time yet so hey...

That's because it hasn't been manufactured yet... They're printing them right now. You should have been given a download code to play the electronic version in the meantime?

Yeah the Revolution looks really small but really elegant and solidly built at the same time. I hope they don't change the case too much from what they've got right now other than to make it smaller if they can (though it doesn't seem to need to get too much smaller). The controller itself is also significantly smaller than I expected. In the photos it looked to really be the size of a full TV remote, but really it's somewhere in between an iPod nano and a TV remote. It's sized far more reasonably than I thought for things like dropping the controller into a wavebird-style shell or that sort of thing.

Not for another 5-6 hours I think

At least in this case the Internet started the viral marketing before the studio picked it up.
