I would guess that the 11 states with gay marriage bans (including Ohio!) also had high turnouts of ultra-right-wing types who voted for bush, so there's probably that to thank as well.
-
Right now it looks like Bush is going to win 271 to 267, assuming he gets New Mexico and Ohio, which it looks like he very probably will.

I'd like to point out that even though political polls are close, most polls don't include people who've been registered to vote for <5 years. This includes a huge portion of college students, most of whom tend to be pretty liberal, or at least willing to jump aboard the "Bush Sucks!" bandwagon. (Note: I do think Bush sucks, but a lot of students are likely to join in without knowing *why*). The tricky part is, will they actually go out and vote. The answer, sadly, is probably "no"

http://www.dougtabacco.com/album/photo.php?id=441&parent=21&pos=2 I've gotten a much nicer chair since then. Also, it's gotten messier.

Happy, Kingz? It's El Zoido!

My favorite family guy moment is from the episode "Brian wallows and Peter swallows," wherein Peter has a nest of baby birds living in his beard. Peter: "But Lois, these birds are like our children!" [ Chris' head appears over swallow #1 ] [ Stewie's head appears over swallow #2 ] Peter: "Umm..." [ Boba Fett's head appears over swallow #3 ] Peter: "Sweeeeet."

Yeah, I'm kind of tired of Zapp too. I'll change it when I get home on Sunday.

http://www.idlethumbs.net/?=PHPE9568F36-D428-11d2-A769-00AA001ACF42 Random easter egg built into the PHP binary. Prior to PHP 4.3.0 it was a guy with pencils up his nose.

So... you're saying that your employer hasn't read Part 1 then?

CGW is the only magazine I subscribe too at the moment (the only gaming-related one, anyway). I've found them to be pretty good, overall. They're no Idle Thumbs, of course

...says the man whose G3 also crapped itself awhile ago.

Hey, welcome to the club! My machine and Sara's both crapped themselves this weekend!

More likely is that it was either a UHF microphone body pack (since the candidates were free to roam the stage during this one) or part of some sort of body armor in case anyone in the audience got any Naughty Ideas.

Reminds me of a stadler and waldorf bit from the muppet show

A lot of that video IS gameplay footage. You can see the interface elements in there.

Awesome So I guess that's the final logo then, huh? It could be worse, I guess, although the Mission Impossible one is still the coolest in my book

Heh... if you're going to demand that a top US chat show be declared, it's all about The Daily Show (even though it's only partly that format). -

I liked the week of "Michael Bolton is trying to kill me" material (i.e. a staffmember being found 'dead' every night, etc.) -

Good news! I just hope Max and the band move with Conan, because they're awesome -
Well, Pc <-> Xbox ports aren't quite as complex as going from either one to the PS2. The Xbox is (I believe) an x86-compatible machine, whereas I'm fairly certain the PS2 isn't. Also, the Xbox uses an nVidia GPU (again, from memory, I could be wrong) and a modified implementation of D3D for graphics programming.

It was awesome. It's still available as either a WMA or RA stream from the BBC's website.

Um... the radio play is NOT being redone, it's being continued. There's a difference

No, no, no, he lives in BERKELEY! And if there's one thing anyone knows about Berkeley, it's full of bugs
