Again, GDC is not E3. Barely-functional betas are perfectly acceptable, since it's not intended to showcase the product to the d the public. Don't expect GDC demos to look presentation quality.

Yeah, you have to remember that the point of GDC is not to show off the game to marketing types and the press, it's to share design and programming ideas with other developers, which is why he's not showing off the billion and one aweome points about his game.

Assuming it's XP, try this... Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Startup & Recovery -> Settings -> Uncheck "Automatically Restart" That way if there's a stop error at least you'll get to see the text of it.

Those Vantec fans kick ass. I have one in, one out, plus the PSU out, and some passive case vents. I'm kind of tempted to replace the 60mm fan in my xbox with a stealth fan.

It always bugs me that most gamepads seemt oe mulate the ps2 layout, which is actually my least favorite controller layout of the Big Three consoles.
