Protip: Do not call it this. 'Frisco' is also right out.
  4. San Francisco

Especially this week. Also it may rain next week.
  5. San Francisco

If you're staying near the financial district, I can probably recommend some lunch places Also, if you enjoy sort of hilarious science museums, I cannor over-recommend http://www.exploratorium.edu which is at the palace of fine arts.
  6. Other podcasts

I'll third the recommendation for any of the maximumfun.org podcasts. Also, The Bugle: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/us_elections/the_bugle/ http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=265799883
  7. Here's your interim solution: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=265799883
  8. New version of the main site!

Yes, it looks exactly the same as the old site, but there's a completely new backend powering the main site and the feeds system now. As with anything new, there might be some bugs lurking around, so if you find anything not working right, please post something here so Jake or Chris or I can fix it! (By the way, the 'Lower Regions' aren't available at the moment, but we have Plans to get that content back online soon)
  9. New version of the main site!

I'll try to remember to add a redirect for /index.php tonight.
  10. New version of the main site!

Could you perhaps clarify what you mean by 'not working'?
  11. New version of the main site!

    Whoops, fixed!
  12. New version of the main site!

Address all HTML questions to Jake (That said, I reworked the CSS and added your precious content-type tag ) Just because it looks the same doesn't mean it hasn't changed massively under the hood Jake and Chris were updating the HTML by hand before, and now there's a database driven CMS underneath it all.
  13. Plain Sight

Any chance of getting in on this?
  14. Most Dull Online game Ever

    The irony kills me
  15. DS Rite Lepracement Battely

I think it was $45, but that could be a lie.
  16. Most Dull Online game Ever

Heh... their webmaster just emailed me to complain about inappropriate behavior. yeesh. Guy's got to learn to take some criticism
  17. A wii line.

Wait for Wii demos: ~5 hours at some points. Wait for Sony demos: 10 mins. most of the day. Every time I walked by, there were maybe 50 people in line for Sony. The fact that the PS3 demos are still running on 2RU dev kits probably has a lot to do with that though.
  18. Rayman Raving Rabbids

Heh... the video on the show floor is a bunch of sketches involving rabbits. We see a rabbit sitting on the toilet. He screams, and brandishes a toilet cleaning brush, and it cuts to a title: "Rabbits don't close doors." Rabbit sitting in a frying pan. He screams, and brandishes a spatula. Title: "Rabbits can't cook eggs." Lots of screaming and brandishing, basically. Amusing, though, and they gave me 2 t-shirts (different ones)
  19. Cars

Yes. The acquisition means that John Lasseter is now in Ultimate Power at both Feature Animation and Imagineering (which builds theme park attractions). It also makes Ed Catmull the head of Feature Animation. Both of these are Good Things. Instead of "Disney obliterates Pixar" it is basically "Disney pays Pixar to Obliterate Disney"
  20. high system requirements

Psychonauts, maybe? I guess it wasn't mega hefty on the requirements, but maybe if you cranked everything up all the way.
  21. Battlestar Galactica season 2 finale

Is Stockwell really a popular actor, though? Apart from Quantum Leap, I can't think of any real starring roles he's had.
  22. Bush nominated Roberts for Chief Justice.

Roberts was one of the possibilities to replace Day O'Connor. He doesn't need to be replaced.
  23. Further 360 hilarity ensues...

Well, whatever makes you feel better about yourself.
  24. Further 360 hilarity ensues...

Heh... good old /. style commentary. A billion people bitching about its marketing and nobody caring about how it plays games
