  1. Goodreads

I used to use LibraryThing, but found their UI pretty bad. Goodreads actually supports importing a library from LibraryThing, which is how I moved over. I still do LT's secret santa every year though
  2. Are people having trouble uploading files? I noticed someone mentioned an error, but I can't find where it was. Everyone should have permissions, with a 2MB max per-file.
  3. Gifts - Stuff for Free

And, unfortunately, that free copy of Torchlight seems to be a different game id than the normal copy of Torchlight, so in the gifting UI it only shows which friends don't own a copy of the promo game. Otherwise I'd just send it as an unsolicited gift to a friend.
  4. Gifts - Stuff for Free

I also have a steam copy of Torchlight, if anyone wants it.
  5. Are people able to upload files?

I just turned off thumbnails entirely, so they should just show up like inline images.
  6. Are people able to upload files?

    Testing...
  7. Are people able to upload files?

Just increased them to 400px. Rebuilding seems to have broken a couple of the thumbnails in this thread though for reasons unknown :/
  8. What does your view look like?

Nothing super-fancy for me, just the side yard of the house (taken from outside to remove window glare and screens) :
  9. Game of Thrones (TV show)

You can always read the books and know what'll be happening seasons from now
  10. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

If you've never seen it, the fact that both Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood did their own singing without being overdubbed makes that movie worth watching on curiosity alone.
  11. Nothing is happening, there's no need to treat me as a looming threat.
  12. Goodreads

http://www.goodreads.com/tabacco is me, but I'm bad about keeping it updated.
  13. Anathem

I haven't read Reamde yet, but Cryptonomicon is probably a decent starting point for you, Chris. It's not genre at all (though it does have a parallel storyline that takes place in the past)
  14. New Forums! Post feedback, notes, etc here

You can always use the non-mobile version. The old forums didn't have a mobile version at all, so I'm not really sure how this made it more fiddly. But if the old forums were working for you, using the non-mobile site is probably the way to go.
  15. Is this my chance to once again bring up the telegraph-based fire department call-box system? http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2012/02/06/MNE41N2TCM.DTL
  16. New Forums! Post feedback, notes, etc here

From the state of the bug report I filed, the issue is fixed in the next release of CKEditor, but that probably won't be merged into IP.Board until version 3.4 (as opposed to 3.3.3, which is the next maintenance release). So you may have to wait a while

For iOS users, try tapping on the status bar at the top. Also, for non-mobile users: The home key is your friend.
  18. New Forums! Post feedback, notes, etc here

Ah, okay. That one's kind of out of my hands, sorry. I'll report it as a bug, though.

Done. Emoticon management is a little weak in this forum, sadly. I actually had to track down a bug in the forum to fix ordering them. Someone will have to make a pass through to organize them at some point, but I at least moved the thumbs up top and put the heads all together for now.

Restoring the tomato is on my to-do for tonight. Update:
  22. Looks like someone started a similar project on the Reddit creative server. Not a lot there yet, but it seems like a nice example: http://nerd.nu/maps/creative/?worldname=world&mapname=surface&zoom=5&x=99.0665451187682&y=64&z=-1471.0640625059602
