  1. Eclipse NetBeans is a lighter-weight and cleaner PHP IDE, if you're looking for a full IDE (and still free). Though lately I've switched to just Sublime Text 2 with a bunch of extra packages installed.
  2. (This is not an official sponsorship or anything) Thumbs is hosted with linode, who I highly recommend if you need a VPS (dedicated server that's actually a virtual machine). There's a referral link that probably gives Thumbs a little credit if you use it, but I have no idea how much: http://www.linode.com/?r=8be5080918c4c13daab541bdb3eb4c75133cfe07

  9. Web Fact! That's an HTTP standard, not a PHP-specific thing. Works exactly the same in Python, Perl, you name it
  10. Curiosity – What's Inside the Cube?

Given Molyneux's ability to hilariously overdescribe things, it'll turn out that the mysterious thing you don't realize you're doing will just be load-testing their server architecture for some future game.
  11. Curiosity – What's Inside the Cube?

Some sort of Last Starfighter or Ender's Game situation?

  15. Sorry guys, there just hasn't been enough continued interest in the server to justify my continuing to pay for it. I'll make an archive of the last epoch available on idlemc.com soon, and the server will be shut down in the next few days.

Yep, temperature in January is impossible to predict. If it's cold it could get down to the 30s (or 0-5 if you must) at night, but not usually during the day. It could also be super warm and pleasant (Here is a photo I took in January a couple of years ago, for example). Or it could be both of those things on two consecutive days. The best you can do is to check the weather forecast right before you leave. I've heard T-Mobile's pretty good, but I've never used them. It's a pretty safe bet, though.
  18. Yeah, there's hardly ever anyone on it, so it hasn't really been my top priority to get it updated. I'll try to do it tomorrow.
  19. Thirty Flights of Loving

So I guess you didn't think it was a game? Your other posts about it left me a little unclear still.

Nope, it's just that in a big location I have to swing the camera around a crazy amount to see everything, I think. Plus I end up alerting guys I can't even see, so I often end up in a straight up brawl when trying to be stealthy. The FOV is so narrow, I can run up behind a guy and not see another guy standing just a few feet to either side of him.
