  1. The Wool series by Hugh C. Howey

I secretly suspect he might be leaving himself room for future books in that world.
  2. I've been filling the chests in the common house's basement with stuff, especially smooth stone, planks, ore, and some tools. It's all up for grabs.
  3. Idle Thumbs 134: Sports

If only there was some sort of Dota podcast.
  4. The Wool series by Hugh C. Howey

In the last third of Dust... My one (minor) gripe at the end of the whole thing...
  5. On my to-do list, now that I have some tools to gather materials.
  6. I got attacked by what looked like a villager dressed as a wizard the other day. The shittiest wizard.
  7. Sports

Woo baseball! Excited to buy some Giants tickets for next season when they go on sale soon. And I'm looking forward to Tim Hudson starting in SF. So that's where I'm at, sportswise.
  8. Idle Thumbs 134: Sports

Oh man, a classic video. And the origin of the podblast theme.
  9. New Forums! Post feedback, notes, etc here

I think they've always been enabled. At least, I've never explicitly enabled them.
  10. FWIW, I checked and OpenDNS isn't blocking it as a parked domain http://domain.opendns.com/blog.camposanto.com (Also, the domain moved from camposantogames.com -> camposanto.com which is probably why it worked before)
  11. Lego is Still Cool

    Clearly the best minifig: Porkins!
  12. Lego is Still Cool

I've been using a service called Pleygo, which is a Netflix style thing for Lego kits. So you pay a flat monthly rate for one kit at a time. It's pretty cool, but they don't have a ton of the huge huge kits (star destroyer, death star, etc.). But it's still pretty fun. I have a cool referral link if anyone wants to try it: http://www.pleygo.com/invite/dougtabacco The worst part is that the site 100% assumes you'll be ordering for a little kid. Put your real age in the kit search form and be sad. (And, because it was my first thought, they do wash the bricks)
  13. The Wool series by Hugh C. Howey

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I read Wool, then blew through Shift over the weekend, and I'm halfway through Dust now and I'm really enjoying the series. Very fallout-ey. I just got to the bit where Which I legitimately didn't see coming. And that makes me happy.
  14. Pinball Club

Whoops, accidental time sink discovered: http://www.ipdb.org/
  15. Could you also whitelist 'lemonEel'?
  16. Spacebase!

Again, you're not paying for the game you have now, you're paying for the final game. You're just getting access to it before it's complete.
  17. Updated game.idlemc.com to point there, or the srv record for idlemc.com should point the game in the right place if people use that. Also, if you want to whitelist me, I wouldn't say no. My username is 'tabacco'.
  18. Ah, welcome to one of the worst discussions when running a minecraft server.
  19. Nintendo 3DS

Yep, this. Just use the builtin transfer utility. Assuming you're using the stock SD card that came in the original 3DS, the one in the XL is bigger anyway.
  20. Limited run podcasts

You Look Nice Today is a dead cast that was excellent. It wasn't intended to be limited run, though. Edit: Oh, looks like they put out a new episode on 11/1. Weird.
  21. Board Games?

You might enjoy Betrayal at House on the Hill. It's a game about a bunch of people exploring a creepy old mansion, and it's cooperative right up until someone turns into a traitorous murderer and then it's all versus that person. There are ~50 scenarios for how the that goes down, and the one that's used is picked by the game, so you can replay it a bunch with pretty low odds of a repeat. ..and of course if you have a regular group there's Risk Legacy!
  22. The Stanley Parable

If you just sit in the broom closet long enough there's some pretty good dialog.
