  1. New Forums! Post feedback, notes, etc here

Managed to track this down. Looks like an ip.board vulnerability allowed for a malicious avatar image to be uploaded that, when called, modifies a cache file to add a forum hook to call back to the avatar script to redirect urls with a specific set of params. If you've been seeing those redirects, just make sure you have some sort of antivirus solution in place (which is good advice no matter what). And thanks for reporting it. Sorry it took so long to track down. It was hard to find, and built to be hard to fix by just recopying the source files for the forum.

Don't forget you can seal in aromatics with the steaks. But don't do raw garlic, the water won't be hot enough to cook it and it'll taste wayyyy too raw.
  3. The Walking Dead

Yeah, many people who worked at Telltale in ~2008 have one. I actually have two, but they're both in very sad shape now so I'm ordering one of these new ones.
  4. The Walking Dead

    Updated. Lame.
  5. The Walking Dead

We interrupt this dormant thread to bring you an important commercial message: If you enjoyed the t-shirt worn by the character *totally coincidentally* called 'Doug' in The Walking Dead Season One, you may want to check out http://teespring.com/bearalope-shirt which is a campaign by Telltale alum, Academy Award nominee, and around cool person Graham Annable, original draw-er of that art.

I'm not seeing any evidence of script injection, but if you found something please send me any details you've got.

Yeah, sorry, I'm on a work trip right now and I spent most of yesterday in a meeting room on top of a mountain, so my internet access was a little shaky.

    Should be working again.
  9. Half-Life 3

    Deleted. Don't be an asshole.
  10. He could run for president of Ecuador.
  11. Idle Food - Cooking!

Yeah a week's usually a pretty safe bet for most cooked food in the fridge. Some stuff's good even beyond that, but a week is a good conservative rule of thumb. Dewar's right, reheating pasta is a losing proposition. But it's also quick to cook and lasts for ages when uncooked (dry pasta, that is), so you're better off just making it as you need it.
  12. Especially because he did exactly that to me last week (in reply to a tweet where I didn't even mention him by name), and also tagged my employer in the tweet (who, fortunately, are cool and thought he was an ass). Fortunately I'm a guy, so I only got maybe 3 angry tweets from his followers. But yeah.

Another good way to thicken chili specifically is to add crushed tortilla chips and simmer for a bit. Preferably unsalted if you can find them, so the chili doesn't get saltier.

Historically jarred roasted red peppers are roasted peppled red bell peppers. I'm not sure about your store, but if they're anywhere it's usually In the same area as jarred olives and pickles. Also, for both heat and flavor I really really like canned chipotle chilis in adobo sauce. Chop up one of two and throw them in, with some of the sauce. Nice heat, and good smoky flavor (they're smoked jalapeño chiles). Also, they're good in mashed sweet potatoes.

So perplexing. What does he think I want him to click on?
  17. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

I'm mildly pleased to have annoyed Brad Wardell on twitter this morning. He thought it'd be amusing to tag my employer in his reply, I guess hoping I'd get in trouble? Fortunately I work for a cool company.

Mannnnn I just bought that game
  19. Starbound

As far as I know, only coworkers are using mine.

Sphinx is occasionally a bit finicky, and can sometimes fall over, which is what happens when search doesn't return any results even for obvious terms like 'video games'.
  21. Idle Thumbs Episode Skipping

Downcast is a pretty solid player. I'd say it's well worth $3.
  22. Idle Thumbs Episode Skipping

I've been using Downcast forever, and I'm just trying out Overcast. Overcast is nice, and I like its higher-speed functionality more (it deletes silence from gaps in speech, rather than speeding up the audio overall). But it doesn't support password-protected podcasts, which I need for one podcast (Never Not Funny).
  23. Idle Thumbs Episode Skipping

Downcast and Overcast are both infinitely better apps for podcasts on iOS.
