Any talk of patches? Fixes, etc?

Has anybody heard anything about sales for this game? Is it going to have legs?

This is how I approach all games. I find it part of the fun. I try not to spoil things for myself too much, but I'm old enough to remember when games came with manuals the size of phone books. I used to really like sitting down with the manual for a good long read before I started play. As for this game, I can wait. Any news on a big patch yet?

I'll give you one tip, and I won't tell you why. Once you've sent the mission to the alien craft that's in the air, don't use the mechanic to free up gear for a while. Keep your top people equipped with good gear, even if you're going on missions with not so well equipped rookies, sqaddies etc. Just sayin'

So, I got "Mummy's Curse". Everything about it that's a 90's computer game is not "fresh" or "fly". (Is that what the kids were saying?) But working your way through the mystery is still fun. Edit: You could do lots worse for five bucks. Edit 2: I could very well see it being redone all in stills in the style of the old Strand Magazine illustrations.

Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective is maybe the best Xmas family get-together game I ever played. And, yes, we totally played it wrong. We just tried to solve everything together. Somebody read the papers etc. We only played it once and then lost the game, or half of it. The only thing that would be close is early Trivial Persuit. Whenever I see a Sherlock Holmes game title, I'm hoping the experience will be like CD.

Two of my favourite episodes are the two they did on Enemy Unkown and Enemy Within. By the second show they'd really played the heck out of the game, and hearing which little irritants had become not so little, and what had come to feel like a grind, etc was extremely interesting and valuable. I'm one who tries to stay a year or so behind on games. I like to let a consensus form. (And let the bugs get sorted out.) (And, yes, to let the price fall a bit.) I'd love it if they went back to this in a while. And I'll be interested to see all of y'alls thoughts in a couple of months.

Listening now. Wow. I will definitely be waiting for a patch. Hell, I might wait for a sale. Seriously sounds like kind of a mess. ETA: The fact that this stuff has not come up in reviews just makes you wonder yet again about how in bed the review platforms are with the companies. If what the guys are saying is true, they ought to be ashamed.
