Video games, books of all kinds.
  1. Oh god, me too! It's uncanny.
  2. The title and description of this episode are legendary. Also, the front-page blurb: "In space, no one can hear the robot's lips." I'm sitting here laughing and I haven't even listened to it yet. I don't know why this is so funny to me, please send help.
  3. Firewatch Spoiler Thread | Henry Two Hats

I was delighted to see that one of my favorite youtubers posted a video about Firewatch yesterday! .
  4. "I can't put it in the trash because that's where our landlord... is" I lost it.
  5. Idle Thumbs 242: A Simple Goat

I tried Dwarf Fortress last year, just to say I did, and I ended up having a lot of fun with it. It actually reminded me of something like a CK2: complex systems and tons of potential for emergent storytelling, but a completely inscrutable interface (even using a tileset, like I did). I followed a tutorial to get my first fortress up and running, and it was dead useful. But... Yeah.
  6. I'll echo everyone else and say: great cast! I'm always glad to have more pods to put in my ears.

Hi! I am please to announce that MarcusTegtmeier and I have begun work on our Winter Wizard Jam masterpiece, "Hunker Down". We'll be using Unity, and following the "Focused Palette" diversifier. What is Hunker Down? A quiet, sleepy town sits in the woods. All seems still, calm, peaceful. But YOU, dear player, know better, for a fearsome blizzard is fast approaching! Bereft of supplies, you have only a short time to gather what you need before the storm hits. You'd better hurry up... and hunker down. 8. Winter Wizard Jam Team Building Thread

Hi there. I'm looking to join a team! What I offer: - Programming: I do it for a living, so I'm pretty decent. I'm not familiar with any game engines/frameworks, but I'm willing to learn them! Just for you <3. - Writing: I do it, but not for a living. Am I any good? I guess that will be a surprise. I work full time, and I live in Austin, so if those are factors, um... now you know? PM me if you're interested! PS: I promise I'm not a spy.
  9. New people: Read this, say hi.

Oh, hello. I'm new, so I guess this is the place to be, huh? I've been listening to yon thumbs for a while, usually while playing video games (it just seems to make sense). I've been listening backwards through the archives between new episodes, which is occassionally disorienting. I finally decided to join the forums because of the upcoming jam of wizards! I would like to be a wizard.
