  1. Halo Wars 2

I'm so pumped for Halo Wars 2. I feel like Halo Wars was an important game in some ways. Other than being Ensemble's final game, it was an RTS made specifically for a console, and it worked extremely well. I'm excited to see where they go with the series. This is definitely something I never thought I'd see get made.
  2. Life

I'm lucky in that I graduated two months ago with a bachelor's in journalism and immediately was able to secure a job immediately out of college in my field. I work at a small-town newspaper (one that thankfully is still thriving) and I'm really beginning to come into my own, I think. One dark spot is I'm not as healthy as I'd like to be. I'm trying to take some steps (mainly, I'm beginning to get into cycling) to get more fit, so I hope it works!
  3. Intoxicated:

Currently on the Idle Forums drinking Miller Lite. So I'm that guy. I think I found a thread I'll be posting in a lot. I'm getting to be the same way. I'm only a few months removed from college, but going out and drinking usually results in me wanting to go home at 10 and crash.
  4. Favorite Level in a video game

My favorite is probably the casino level from Sonic 2. My brother had a Sega Genesis when I was growing up and I remember playing Sonic 2 constantly. I'd always get stuck on that level, but it was so interesting to look at and the music was so good that I didn't care. Plus, it was really well-designed; challenging, but not unreasonably so. Real, real good.
  5. (Not Harvest Moon) Story of Seasons

I'm stuck between Iris and Angela, though I may just wait for Licorice to show up. It's so hard to decide! Also, as a side note, the livestock festival happened in my game the other day and the only cow I had was pregnant and thus unable to be entered. So there was a significant span of time where I was just hanging out in a completely deserted town by myself while everyone else was in the market plaza, presumably having fun. It was hilarious.
  6. (Not Harvest Moon) Story of Seasons

After coming from only having playing the "Rune Factory" spinoffs (which I loved), I decided to get this game. I'm only a few hours in, but I'm beginning to really love it. One thing I've noticed is how well-localized the game is. I've noticed that XSEED always does a great job with that. The dialogue feels really natural for the most part, which for me goes a long way toward immersion in these sorts of games.
  7. Nintendo 3DS

Similarly to what other posters have said, I think Animal Crossing: New Leaf is great for short bursts every day. It actually seems to lend itself to mobile play more than most games I've played. You can pick it up for ten minutes, then put it back down or do some business on the home screen while it runs in the background, or you can sit down with the game for a full hour or two. I find myself varying wildly in terms of how long I want to play it from day-to-day, and it's a game that really fits that kind of play frequency. My girlfriend's been playing the original ever since she found her old Gamecube a few days ago, but It's actually hard for me to imagine it on a console. In a similar vein, Story of Seasons is an extremely relaxing game. It's not quite as accommodating as Animal Crossing, but few things are. It's still very much a game that can be play little bits at a time, or for longer sessions. Plus there are more chances to build relationships and such than in an Animal Crossing game. Both are great if your'e looking for something relaxing and engaging, but not necessarily super challenging.
  8. New people: Read this, say hi.

Howdy, folks. My name's Will, and I'm a new person. I'm from Central Ohio, where I currently work as a reporter and photographer for a small-town newspaper. I've been getting into the Idle Thumbs podcast, and I'm in the process of working my way down the back catalog. The Idle Thumbs crew is always talking about how cool the Idle Thumbs community is, so I figured I'd join up! Despite spending a large amount of time on the internet generally, I've never been an active member of any sort of forum or the like, I'm anticipating this being interesting. So yeah, that's me.
