  1. Firewatch Spoiler Thread | Henry Two Hats

Those were my thoughts too! I'd also love to know what'd happen if Henry stole the other supplies. I loved the game, looking forward to doing a more role play-ey playthrough tomorrow, one where I'm the worst person possible, and one where I'm all about running away with Delilah. That beginning was so well crafted, it felt very Pixar-esque in the way it attempts to generate pathos between the player and Henry.
  2. Game Dev Talks/Lectures

This is SUCH a cool thread, especially that 80 Days talk. Many others have been bookmarked for later. A talk I found last night that I really enjoyed, was Jake Elliott's talk about text in real time situations. It's quite specific, but it's certainly food for thought. Also if you're a Kentucky Route Zero fan it's a nice look behind the curtain[/size] https://www.youtube.com/embed/fBHq56hB3BU
  3. New people: Read this, say hi.

Hey all! Been listening to Idle Thumbs (and a bunch of the others in the network) for a few years now, and it's been really great. So I thought I'd poke my head in and get more active with the community! I'm a recent-ish graduate 3D games artist from a London university, and I'm currently living in Australia with my other half whilst he does mad-space-science, and I work on my portfolio and do some travelling on this side of the hemisphere! I devour games pretty quickly, and I'm a sucker for single player experiences, or anything with a plot that elicits a reaction. First game I ever played was Rebel Moon Rising (if anyone remembers that? I still have nightmares about the death scream with the player-pawn dies) but it was the original Tomb Raider that came with our first PC that kind of stole me away into video games. Looking forward to chatting and getting to know you all! Especially for any game jams that come up! Also, I tweet here -And sometimes blog about my work here
  4. HP Lovecraft

I'm burning through Lovecraft's stuff at a crazy rate at the moment! If any of you are big fans, maybe check out the Dark Adventure Radio Theatre? My boyfriend got me some of these for my birthday (the physical discs come with pull out newspaper clippings, sketches, etc. Which are great to pour over) http://cthulhulives.org/radio/DART/index.html Do any of you guys have recommendations for similar authors?
  5. Firewatch Spoiler Thread | Henry Two Hats

Man, that game was so great. I had no idea what to expect, and I'm really happy with how it turned out! My thoughts were that the scientists base was used in the months that Delilah wasn't there, so she wasn't notified about it. Side-note, I'm also curious if anyone else stole the supply boxes? I want to go back and role play as a complete asshole next time....
