All of these updates are incredible.

Sounds neat. How are you planning on visualizing the morse code? Are players going to need actual knowledge of morse to play it or will it just be a facsimile of what morse is really like? If it is the latter, I recommend you look at a little series of games called What Hath God Wrought? (http://lazerwalker.com/altctrl/) which uses an actual telegraph but just gives you the feeling of communicating with actual morse code rather than try to actually make you type out messages that make sense.

This already looks super cool. I was gonna suggest you make the player only able to move using the recoil of their shots but what you ended up making looks much easier to control.
-
Sounds a lot like Mario is Missing, so you're on the right track.
-
Time to start digging for that Dino DNA.
-
The number of Jurassic Park themed games coming out of this jam pleases me greatly.
-
Alright, finally had time to jump back into coding. Knocked out the whole build system, so now I can start making many more building models and working on behaviours and interactions.
-
Yeah, I was just kidding. Tbh it's kind of awesome.
-
Welp, my own crappy Build the Nublar art is up against Olly's, apparently. This can only go well
-
Haha yeah, that is just very basic Unity UI. And yeah, I'm using a combo of Unity terrain with some geography generation tools and custom simplified textures so that it doesn't clash too much with the low poly models (I am sooooo not an artist)
-
Sounds like a neat idea, and Game Maker is such a great tool when you're starting out in gamedev!
-
I'm suddenly starting to feel like Nublar is a euphemism

Haven't had a ton of time to work this weekend due to mother's day and other stuff, so I just worked on some basic environmental stuff and the camera system.
-
So excited for this!
-
Sounds like it's something that's really important to you. Hope it comes out great!

I am so down!

It's going to be a 2 player competitive brawler where the uncles try to throw each other into a pool while at a family BBQ. So far I've just had time to make the player sprites and movement, but I like the way it's going so far.

amazing

Super huge thanks to Dinosaursssssss and Spenny for organizing this! Definitely the most fun online jam I've ever done. The sense of community was really amazing.
-
Are you using Unity? if so then you would just need to create a transition between the animations and then set the exit time to 1 (If I understand your problem correctly)
-
Late last night, Rich Uncle vs Cool Uncle was officially released on itch.io! GO GET IT!
-
This is a really good idea! I could use some playtesters for Rich Uncle vs Cool Uncle (it's hard to playtest a local multiplayer game when you live alone) and would be happy to playtest someone else's game in exchange
-
I dunno, I tried it with IE just out of curiosity and it was doing some really funky things with the game's graphics

It's finally here! The first official alpha build of the game is available in my first post. At this point it's mostly just missing some music and final tuning/bugtesting, but it's well on track for a Friday release. What's new in this version? Well, for one, the lobby is now smoothly integrated with the rest of the game. I've also put in the final hooks for win/loss/draw, and added in a bunch of sound effects. Link is on the front page. I'm going to post these versions as dropbox links since A ) Hopefully you'll want to download it and play with friends, and B ) Unity web player is COMPLETELY BROKEN right now.

Thanks I just did another update on the lobby system to make it even more rad. I'll post the build later tonight
