  1. I have a pretty nice Intel CPU but it still does that for me. I wouldn't say it's your PC that's the issue here. It might be, but I'd wait on a patch before I worry too much.

  2. How many? Well seven Etrian Oddyssey games counting Persona Q. Three Class Of Heroes games. There's a 7th Dragon game coming out here soon-ish. At least ten Wizardry games. Two Elminage games that are more or less the same. Then there's the Might And Magic games of which there's another ten. Paper Sorcerer is a cool game you can get for like 2 bucks so that's worth a look. And the last series I can think of is Dungeon Master of which I'd say there's about four
(Some of the ports of that game were reworks so I'm not sure how to count that). So all told I'm guessing there's around forty to fifty of note. And that's not counting the Grimrock games which are fantastic but have as much in common with portal as they do Wizardry.

Of those I'd say less then ten are worth giving a look. Maybe more if you are interested in the respective series. But I certainly wouldn't tell any one to play the first Wizardry.

And what you should play next depends on how far off the deep end you want to go. If you want to go all the way then I hear Wizardry 6 is the best in the series for the more classic style. 8 is also thought to be great but they were trying something pretty new with that one so in some ways so it lacks the refinement of 6. I hear 7 is also good but only if you import your party from 6 anyways.

If you want something less on the deep end then Grimrock might be a good choice. I said it doesn't fully count and I meant it, but it scratches the same itch so it's worth a look.

For something in the middle I would recommend that you pick up Etrian Oddyssey Untold 2: The Knight Of Fafnir. Incredibly stupid subtitle aside it's the only game in the series I've ever gotten really into. And I would say it's maybe the best over all starting point for that type of game. The only thing it's lacking is the species component but the classes are all incredibly well thought out and play off of each other in great ways. By the midpoint of that game it feels less like an RPG and more like you've built a beautiful clockwork machine of death. It's great.

  3. About the time mag weapons we falling off I was getting plasma weapons. Then I got the plasma lancer and my sniper became destroyer of worlds and then I had to go to work.

  4. I had to update Steam before I could start the game. And they say you can't emulate the PS3 on PC.

Also the time to unpack for me said 6 minutes and took maybe 2. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

  5. So one of the things you can mod into the game is character pools that let people be added to the list of random units that show up. So I added a section to the spread sheet for people to say if they would be cool with being added to one. I didn't want to assume everyone would be cool with that since it would likely go up on the steam workshop and some people are using their real names.

  6. I know that last year I had to go through a bunch of hoops to get a code to put on my taxes to wave the fee. But then maybe I didn't have to do that? I guess I'll find out in a year or so.

  7. I just found out that yesterday was the cut off to find health coverage for the year not just for January and that I could be fined up to $700 for not getting the exemption to the fine I got last year. It's pretty damn unlikely that I'll get charged more then a $100 from what I understand, and honestly that may be worth it for saving myself the headaches and phone calls. But it would be nice if I lived in a state that would actually expand medicaid (Which I would have qualified for last year for various reasons I won't get into in, other states) so I could afford something instead of twiddling their thumbs over some stupid political game. Bah I say! BAH.

  8. Roll 20 is fairly easy for roiling dice but I've found the table top portion pretty finicky. But I'm free this Sunday if you want to go over it. It would give me a chance to test out my mic and web cam.

As for groups Hunters works a little better for me time wise but I can do mages as well. No interest in being a vampire, though it's fine if those two groups are the same. Just slot me in wherever works best for you.
