  1. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Apparently the theme of Persona 5's music is Rad elevator music and I'm all in for this:
  2. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

This is for single player. For multi I'm using a shotgun that shoots grenades and a sniper rifle.
  3. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

I'm not actually sorry I like scanning I was just going for overdramatic humor. Also what's generally considered the better SMG the hurricane or the hornet? I want to say it was the hurricane in ME3.
  4. Crota 2Day: A Destiny 2 Forum Thread

I would assume so. The PC is bound to have more hacking problems so I don't know why they'd combine all instances.
  5. Persona 5 - 2015 the year of the PS3 / Persona Q - 3DS

I have been waiting for Persona 5 to come out since I was younger then it's main cast. O_o
  6. Crota 2Day: A Destiny 2 Forum Thread

I'll be sticking to the PS4 for Destiny 2 I think. It just plays so well on a controller and as soon as you allow for keyboard and mouse using anything else will just get you yelled at in Raid groups and PVP. Don't get me wrong I'm glad there will likely be a PC version for those that want it it's just not for me.

Yeah I imagine not all of them are intentional but then why send out posters at all? If it doesn't come out in til September do you really need posters out 5 month ahead of time? The EU market is pretty big so maybe they do just really want to make sure they hit those stores at the same time so as not to give the impression they're prioritizing the US market over the EU.
  8. Crota 2Day: A Destiny 2 Forum Thread

These days I don't know why you would put out posters like that unless you wanted to soft announce it. You have to know it's going to get leaked but I'd be willing to bet they also know that if they make it seem unintentional that people are more likely to share it like it's some big scoop as opposed to announcing a countdown to a countdown of a countdown.
  9. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

I wish I had a better reason for liking it than "I like seeing the percentage at the top of the screen go up" but I don't. Also I really need to play more multi so if anyone ever sees me on feel free to send me an invite. So long as I can back out of the mission I'm in I'm prolly happy to join.
  10. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

I like scanning planets in Mass Effect. I'm sorry that I have failed you all so.
  11. Nintendo 3DS

As long as it's not a homophobic eugenics simulator like the last few I'll be fine with whatever they charge other people for the collectors edition.
  12. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

This game is like one UI polish pass away from me kind loving it. A lot of the side stuff is pretty, uh, there. The side stuff exits and is a thing. But I sorta dig the B-movie plot and really like the characters. It helps that I had my expectations adjusted going in for sure though. It also helps that I remembered how 3 tried to make you feel bad for all of humanity by having Shepherd dream about a kid she couldn't save and how bad that was and I think I'll take a good episode of Sliders over more of that thank you.
  13. This video does a pretty good job of point out the things I very much don't like about this game (with some spoilers for this game that may as well not really have anything you can spoil): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNLMDWZY6_A I ended up way more down on the game then he does though.
  14. Destiny

Yeah I'm thinking it might be more of a summer thing for me. Once P5 is out that's kind of it for the year for me basically so after that I'll have more time. Still I'm happy to join up if anyone else wants to do one of the raids.
  15. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

I don't think all the issues would be fixed if EA had let them do whatever but I'd bet it would be more of it's own thing. It might not have been Bioshock 2 (The only good one I WILL FIGHT YOU~sorry force of habit) but it could have been better.
  16. NieR: automobile

That's fair. I will say the combat is sort of half way between Bayonetta and Kingdom Hearts in terms of button mashy-ness so if that doesn't appeal you may be able to skip it. I kinda dig Kingdom Hearts though so I'm enjoying the combat in this.
  17. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

It all kind of reads to me like EA was the problem here. It all seems like a misguided attempt to remake ME1 instead of whatever the team actually wanted to do.
  18. NieR: automobile

Huh the open world bits are by far the least interesting parts to me. It sort of just feels like a bunch of dully designed empty rooms one after the other. I haven't got super far in though.
  19. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

The multi in this is really fun so far I have to say. All the free to play stuff in it is a bummer but it does reward you with a fair number of points for every bronze win so I don't think it'll be too bad and it gives you a decent number of classes to start so you should be able to find something you like fairly early on.
  20. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

Lag is what has me worried. My internet is fine-ish if none of the three other people in the house are streaming anything. Either way I have 8 hours left on my trial so I'm done to play some today for sure. I'll hope on Origin and fiddle with character creation for a bit so feel free to send me match invites.
  21. NieR: automobile

You spend a lot of time looking up and android's skirt at her thong and her general outfit is a tight leather dress that wouldn't look out of place in a CSI episode set in a BDSM club. It's sort of like saying you play a women in an MMO becasue you if you're going to stare at someones ass it may as well be a hot one to the ninth degree. For what it's worth I don't expect an answer from you I'm really just stating how I feel about it and saying to anyone reading the thread "Hey this stuff is here" so they can take that into account in their purchasing decisions. I haven't watched the quick look as I already bought the game and may as well avoid spoilers but so far the first few missions are just sort of open world fetch quests and not the set pieces of the first mission. It's fine-ish but I have heard it picks up to a pretty big degree later.
  22. NieR: automobile

The only thing that really tells me is that the dude is open about how it's kinda sexist it doesn't really tell me anything about how it in any way fits the game.
  23. NieR: automobile

Good to hear as right now it's really just kind of dull and blandly sexist.
  24. Mass Effect Andromeda - Thumb Drive Engaged!

The animations are really the only way the game falls short at least through the tutorial. And that is pretty bad to be fair. It makes Dragon Age: Origins like modern by comparison. Otherwise the writing is the same level of B-Tier but fun and the combat seems really fun so far if you liked the previous games. I'm not expecting to love the game but so far I feel fairly safe that I'll like the overall product. I do suspect that the reviews will be on the lower side for a AAA game. There's been blood in the water for Bioware since DA2 and especially since ME3 and I suspect this game will end up bearing the brunt of that. Maybe not unfairly I only played through the first mission so I don't want to scream about ETHICS IN GAMES JOURNALISM but I do expect to hear "But The Witcher 3!" a lot. Also the default Sera Ryder looks in all the cutscenes like a character in an Adam Sandler movie who just farted and is waiting for everyone else to notice. She has like this slight grin at all times regardless of what else is going on and it's super weird. Natalie Dormer: "Your brother might be dead" Sera: "Yeah but wait til you smell this!" Also if anyone has more specific questions let me know and when I go back in I'll try to get answers for you.
