  1. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

Sometime in April I think? The modding community has figured out how to get ESPs working though so it's pretty easy to add small stuff on the user's end already.
  2. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

The survival update is out on PC in beta form if anyone wants to check it out rather then waiting. Though it does rather amazing bug where if you use any mods everyone in the game will be bald so I don't know why you'd want to wait.
  3. Online Tabletop Role-Playing Extravaganza

I'm actually busy next weekend I'm afraid. I might be able to do Sunday but I can't guarantee it. Saturday's will work otherwise for me. Anyways for the feat here's a link: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/weapon-finesse-combat---final And then swap out the stats so they look like this: STR: 8 DEX: 14 CON: 12 INT: 8 WIS: 11 CHA:12 That should leave me with a minus 1 to int which means I would no longer know Elvish and need to ditch a skill. So I'll just ditch the crafting skill.
  4. Life

That's the best possible use for that name so hey more power to them.
  5. Online Tabletop Role-Playing Extravaganza

That was fun! I think! Man that feat list though. Here's 6,000 things you do! Good luck figuring out which ones though! Edit: So in the grand tradition of figuring every thing out as soon as get done working on it I figured out how to make the character work way better. Natuel weapon attacks work with weapon finesse. I take that and my attacks work with dex and I don't have to worry about strength anymore. Still wish I hadn't rolled two eights but I'm going to make it work!
  6. "Cars sucks." - A Pixar Thread

Oh man I watched The Incredibles and man this movie is... Whew this movie sure is, um, uh, I kind of hate it? It feels like Andrew Ryan commissioned a propaganda movie. I'm going to have to think on this but if you want my take on it as I was watching it start here: https://twitter.com/VAbsurda/status/714257474019135488
  7. Online Tabletop Role-Playing Extravaganza

I should be able to join you in three or so hours if that's not too late.
  8. "Cars sucks." - A Pixar Thread

Not yet. I'm still working on my portfolio.
  9. "Cars sucks." - A Pixar Thread

When Somebody Loved Me is maybe the only one of those sections I will stand by. I actually think that one works well. Anyways I finally got around to Nemo (It's been a busy few months, I've had some home renovation stuff going on). I think I liked it more then Toy Story 2? Toy Story 2 was the better movie but I had more fun with the stupid jokes in Nemo. And bravo to whoever cast Ellen DeGeneres as Dory. Perfect casting there. And kind of gutsy for the time if I remember correctly. So is it better then Zootopia? No, but now's a good time for a tangent! My biggest issue with the Pixar movies so far is that most of them boil down to: "I think thing is bad/I have not thought about thing! *Stuff happens for about an hour and a half* "Oh, thing is not so bad/I have now thought about thing!". Where as Zootopia for all it's issues (more or less summed up here: http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2016/03/03/zootopia-review-a-muddled-mess-of-racial-messaging...-and-cute-animals ) has the growth of it's characters primary defined by their actions. In Zootopia it's "I did something to someone/Someone did something to me" *Hour and a half or so goes by showing the consequences of this in various ways* "I see how I hurt this person/This person sees how they hurt me. We can be better". Hence the Is It Better Then Zootopia scale. So far there's rarely any real consequence for any of the characters actions, it's just the characters reacting to whatever random event has happened to them.
  10. So quick update. It looks like the version I'm playing is the prerelease version so no multiplayer and any technical complaints I have may well get fixed. And honestly it's a mostly solid game in that regard anyways. The only major issue being that some of the bloom lighting in the first area is so extreme it blocks out anything else on screen if you look directly at it. It's a mostly easy issue to work around though so whatever. But I do have my first, and so far only, complaint (Not really a spoiler but just in case): Not a deal breaker by any stretch and it may very well change later on. But I thought I'd bring it up.
  11. I suspect the PC version is why it's not out in the US yet. They got a lot of complaints about it not being day and date with Dark Souls 2 and I think the PC version just needs more polish. Hopefully it's it's a solid port because this could well be one of the best looking games on PC.
  12. Well I have news. It's Dark Souls. It's top notch Dark Souls though. It manages to find a near perfect middle ground between the weightiness of Dark and Demon's Souls and the floatiness (I never really got that complaint though so I'm not the best judge on that) of Dark Souls 2, with a bit of the speed of Bloodborne thrown in in really smart ways. One of the things they've done is put the emphasis back on parrying and backstabing and away from tanking hits with your shield. A shield is super helpful but if you try to take more then two or three hits you will have your guard broken and at that point you're basically screwed. Oddly the biggest improvements are in graphics and sound. The Souls games have always been top notch in regards to both (For me design tops technical capability any day for me) but they've really stepped it up here. The frame rate isn't super smooth by any stretch but it's fine. What stands out is the animation and particle effects and how they're used in ways that I can't quite articulate but really make the game look a lot nicer even then Bloodborne. And the Soundtrack is just phenomenal. Some quick notes: 1: This game is hard. They start it off a little easier in the tutorial area but once in the main game it holds no punches. 2: Whips seem to work more like the Threaded Cane from Bloodborne. It's not quite the same but it is way better then in 1 and 2. 3: Battle Arts seem really cool but you're unlikely to use them much unless you two hand your weapons a lot. 4: You have access to spells and miracles as soon as you get to the hub area but not pyromancy.
  13. Yeah it's totally in English. Character creation screen and everything. (It let me play before the download was complete) The first thing I've noticed: It's gorgeous. It feels next gen in a way nothing else has so far. Also it's a tad framey. I imagine the PC version will fix that though. Also
  14. My download is only at ten percent... Not because downloading it from Japan is slow bit because my stupid XBox turns itself off all the time.
  15. I'd be fine with doing that. You're all welcome to send me any questions and I'll spoiler tag the answers. I just won't be posting my moment to moment thoughts.
  16. Thanks! I'll post about how it works out once the game is done downloading but otherwise I won't be posting about the game unless someone has a question. Unless I feel I need to warn people against preordering or something.
  17. Okay I got it downloading to my Xbox One! That I forgot I had in til this morning. I used the second guide on this post if anyone wants to give it a go: http://kotaku.com/dark-souls-3-can-be-played-right-now-on-xbox-one-using-1766717126 Except I used this address instead of the US embassy: Tenso address for Amazon account: Postal Code: 120-0023 Prefecture: Tokyo-to Street Address: 千住曙町42-4 TS627771転送コム (Split into 2 entries on amazon account) Telephone Number: 03-5739-3341
  18. I should see how much of the other souls games were actually in Japanese. I want to say most of the voice acting is in English in all versions. But I may well be wrong. The only real stopping block is that PSN Japan won't take an American card so I'd have to find a work around for that which may require me to buy $80 (I think the Japanese version costs about $71 US) in PSN cards leaving me with 9 yen I won't use. Edit: Hmm. I wonder if Amazon Japan will take an American card to buy a Digital game? I know you can buy digital games on the American store. Edit 2: It looks like Amazon Japan doesn't sell digital games or email psn points codes? If anyone who can read Japanese can offer any help I'd appreciate it. Edit 3: It looks like I can use Paypal to but it for XBox One and that version might well be in English?!
  19. Is it weird I'm thinking about getting a Japanese PSN account and buying a digital copy to play before it comes out in the US? The idea of playing this game with even less idea of what's going on has an appeal.
  20. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

Is it a bad game? Well A: The motion controls outside of a handful of boss fights were more a hassle then anything else. B: There was no sense of exploration to any of it. At all. Except maybe on that stupid bird but I think I'd rather reenact the needle scene from Dead Space 2 then ever spend any meaningful time steering that thing ever again. C: As nice as the world itself looked I thought most of the character design was awful and I hated interacting with all of them. Also Ghirahim was as I remember a tad homophobic but that's a whole other issue. D: Most of the boss fights were repeats of fight you'd already had or just kind of bland. E: I have nothing to say about the dungeons as I don't remember any of them which I would say warrants putting them in the bad column. Now for the good: A: it had some pretty landscapes. B: The boss fight in the water temple is so much fun that I got way too into it and hurt my shoulder swinging the Wiimote. In short, yes I do think it's a bad game. I'm sure someone could enjoy it. I did parts of it! Also I can totally imagine a Zelda Virgin having a bad time with it. My brother had barely played any Zelda and was so bored by this game he just stopped playing it.
  21. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

Honestly the fact that they might be shuting down the Wii U this quickly just makes me think that the NX will be backwards compatible. I wouldn't worry too much.
  22. Yeah I don't like Dan. At all. But I can deal with it when he's just endlessly going on about Metal Gear or Wrestling. He's welcome to like things I don't, that's just how it goes and that's fine. But there's a difference between that and him bragging about how he's seemingly coasted through life solely on the power of white privilege, and that crap is infuriating. And I know that that's not the whole story of his life but it sure is the way he tells it.

DARKNEST is just a light switch that works like a nest thermostat that doubles as a TOR pass through.
  24. Android Games

I wish I could find a game along the lines of a Puzzle And Dragons/Gems Of War whose primary way of advertising wasn't cleavage. I actually don't mind the mechanics of them but they all make me feel various degrees of skeevy.
  25. Life

I don't think that's where it would go that's just what I think of when in regards to cyber punk. I wouldn't be surprised if it did go there, but I doubt it will.
