Errata from recently: Please watch Psych, season 5, "Dual Spires" because it is the most hilarious homage/send-up of Twin Peaks obviously made by fans on the show's team. It includes a lot of actors from S1/2 of Twin Peaks, albeit in different kinds of roles, but worth it. The jokes are hilarious.

Currently, there's no way to stream FWWM in the US, as far as I know (which is like Hulu, Amazon Prime, or Netflix) and online "legally obtained" copies often are bad cuts that are missing scenes or are fan-cuts that include Missing Pieces footage. However, you can buy the DVD in the usual places. I got mine from Amazon.

Essential read, in my mind, if not something that people think of as a "feminist" read per se. If you can get it, try to read "Why Does He Do That: Insides the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men" by Lundy Bancroft. It's fairly cheap on Amazon but you can also find free PDFs online. It goes into detailing why abusive men act the way they do but it has a lot of applicability to anyone who's deal with abusive spouses, parents, friends. It helped me a lot through a lot of shit I didn't really get in past relationships.

Yeah, it'd be reductive, though that's sort of how Call of C'thulu does it except you never regain sanity. I'd love to see a game that maybe at least dealt with that subject matter though. I know quite a few games feature a character that prominently deals with something like depression (The Cat Lady is a great example of this) but nothing much else beyond that. See: asylum games as how to not handle mental illness or mental health.

This vaping thing is so weird to me because I've known about it (in regards to marijuana) and also e-cigarettes for a couple of years now! But I guess it's really caught on as a hip thing. I don't smoke personally but I've tried my boyfriend's e-cig and it's great if you want that stressed writer feeling at your desk because you can puff away hands-free and not worry about ashing. It's great if you want to feel very film noir-ish as well.
