Wishlisted and will buy once I have the money. Reminiscent of 'The Witness' (and no surprise Jon Blow has 17 hours clocked on it with steam) Can anyone confirm how large the windows version is? PCGamingWiki states 8GB, my laptop is nearing full capacity. *Also there is a free mini-game from the same devs that serves as a "prequel" to The Talos Principle called "Sigils of Elohim". Available on Steam, Android, and iOS. I don't know if Tom Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes are involved with that one though.

Some of my personal favourites, and limiting myself to what I have seen (no Farscape, Sopranos, Mad Men, Clone High, Orange is the New Black, Pushing Daisies, Broadchurch, and countless other shows), so take with a grain of sodium chloride: British comedies: Spaced, Black Books, Green Wing. Paranoia Agent, True Detective, Rick & Morty, Portlandia, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Generation Kill. Also even though I said no shows I haven't seen completely, Hit & Miss looks really interesting. Is there a reason for this thread topic existing outside of the pinned "Movie/TV recommendations" one? ^What Ben X said

So the hostage situation in Sydney has predictably spawned shit like this: http://www.pedestrian.tv/news/arts-and-culture/the-daily-telegraphs-rushed-out-martin-place-cover/6936a399-368e-485c-a180-6e5e9f9734b3.htm On the other hand, people on Twitter have been great: http://www.news.com.au/technology/online/illridewithyou-twitter-sprouts-anti-islamophobia-campaign/story-fnjwnhzf-1227157197523 It's nice to see something like this that is immediate and unambiguously positive, rather than some kind of reactionary defensiveness like #notallmen/muslims for example (though there's sadly a bit of that as well*). Social Justice, ruining the fun of bigots everywhere. *I gathered this from a quick hashtag search, reading more it seems like some #notallmuslims tweets are actually from Islamophobes using it sarcastically, or using it to mock feminists who are critical of #notallmen. At least the positive ones seem to vastly outweigh the shitty ones.

Just watched Tyrannosaur, really brutal and great movie. Trigger warning for:

Roderick, if it's semi-realistic sword fighting you want, check out 'Alatriste' from 2006.

Playstation Experience is live (Uncharted 4, other video games, maybe even the last guardian... Lol nope)

Those leaked documents in the recent Sony hack don't paint a great picture about their movie/marketing divisions, hopefully their games division isn't as terrible. Who am I kidding, this is Sony we're talking about, they store passwords in plaintext, corporate screwing with The Last Guardian they can do in their sleep. -
GraysonEvans, even if it were true that you were wasting everyone's time (you aren't), you don't deserve to die because of that. Even if you were a truly terrible person who took pleasure in crushing the spirit of small children, you still deserve life. Your past 9 years are not a guarantee of your future. Anything can, and will happen. I say this as someone who has a younger sibling with severe and incurable disabilities. I thought the progression of our lives was set in stone, and 16 years of it seemed enough evidence. Whatever incredible pain or debilitating apathy you may feel towards life can be overcome. It may feel like it would require a herculean effort, but mostly it takes time. The fact that you are alive means you've already endured more than many. Your depression doesn't mean you are weak, it means you are strong enough to live even when you feel like you can't. You've already survived depression, I hope you get the help you need so you can take a break from kicking its ass single handedly. Keep being rad and I hope you stick around.

I think the scope and importance of the CIA documents deserves its own thread. I don't have anything to post, other than stating my own opinion on torture being that it should be banned even in a hypothetical situation where it is 100% 'effective'in getting lifesaving information. Pointing out the evidence that torture is not an effective means of obtaining information is super important, but at the end of the day engaging in that line of argument still distracts from the issue that torture should be considered unjustifiable.

I should have saved all my wizard jokes for that beautiful picture. -

Maybe not goat-level, but I also really liked FRACT OSC.

So a bunch of Nazis buying good pr with charity is what they compare themselves with. Is gg just trolling itself now or what?

Jaffe, meet pot and kettle.

Coincidentally, I've recently been watching a few Slavoj Žižek videos ( ) just because it's that time of year. GG is a perfect example of knowingly and intentionally using charity to buy cultural capital and "redemption", it's disgusting. Charity as masturbation is a perfect metaphor for what they're doing too, it boggles me that they lack the self-awareness to recognise this. Poe's Law everywhere. Also since I can't think of any other solutions besides GG magically becoming nice people, I hope AbleGamers takes their money and then proceeds to publicly and explicitly criticise GG for what they are doing anyway. Win-win?

The tranquilliser darts were only present for one tiny section of Uncharted 2 if I remember correctly. Also I kind of liked as a concept that Uncharted 1 took place in more or less a single location with the story occasionally backtracking through previous areas with altered entry/exit objectives and conditions. In practice though it did get a bit monotonous as you say. That grappling hook/swing looked pretty neat and showcased that great balance between emergent gameplay and scripted elements that Naughty Dog does so well. I might have even said "holy crap" out loud. More temptation to get get a PS4 eventually. -
Just donated. I've been meaning to get The Floor is Jelly for a while. Also should point out that the games won't be downloadable after the bundle expires, so make sure you download before then (11:59 PM EASTERN ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH).

Quoted from the Fullbright blog post: I'm so excited and happy about this! There's an actual place called Wizard Island! But seriously, so happy. Gone Home and Fullbright (feat. Chris "Mr Hi Score" Remo) are the best.

Aww thanks for indulging my laziness to not just google image search a bunch of names. Only thing left to do now is order them by beardiness, Sir Chrome's chin living up to his owner's name and coming in last in beardiness. -
I've lost track of what was released this year. Really loved Transistor, even though I found the deliberately ambiguous nature of the storytelling/story frustrating. Thanks to Dota 2 I still haven't played a lot of stuff i have (jazzpunk, dreamfall, betrayer).

Well that was lovely. A list of credits with each person's corresponding number would be useful, I can recognise a few by sight and a few more by name.
