Enjoying this a lot more than I was since I stopped doing main quests and just started wondering around, looting places and actually putting effort in to making money and building settlements. I do find actually building something impressive or even realistic or believable to be really difficult, fiddly Also found someone with a thick OIRISH accent, how is that possible? Can you get a ferry from Ireland to US in the 2400s or whatever the heck it is?

Continuing my Coen brothers journey. Have these cunts made a bad film or what, Jesus. Watched Intolerable Cruelty last night and although it's definitely low on the list it was no where near as bad as I'd been lead to believe.

Saw Spotlight the other day and all I can say is that it is alright. Well acted, but have no strong feelings about it at all. Yeah, it's absolutely baffling that this happened but the most powerful moment of the film is the credits when the list of places where abuses have been exposed comes up. Also laughed out loud at the montage of them scanning old documents using rulers to keep their place, much to the annoyance of my companion.

Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready
Woodfella replied to SuperBiasedMan's topic in Idle Banter
Do you use it a lot? My oven does my head in and a slow cooker seems like a really easy low effort way to make tasty things. Id also like to pull some pork. Crock pot seems like a good brand. Seen ones with automatic stirring and stuff! Guess I'm just after a basic one big enough to stick a chicken in. -

Does anyone have any experience with slow cookers? I'm looking to get one and don't know what's good. Sorry if this is the wrong thread couldn't see a general cookery. -
Yeah, I guess it's not really, I'm sorry. It was just on my mind after hearing it mentioned on a podcast do I just blurted about it at the first opportunity.

Have you seen Dust Devil? You should watch Dust Devil. In fact have any of you watched dust devil? You all should watch dust devil. Never seen a film like it. It's mental, about five films in one. Looks great too.

So glad you liked everything just got what i thought was cool and tasty and hoped for the best! and yeah the custard was meant to go with the pudding. You did get the letter too right? Or have I forgotten to out it in there? Edit: Gosh darn it -
Just rewatched Burn After Reading, a lot funnier than I remembered. JK Simmons scenes are great. Found this. A guy watching a writing about a Coen film a day and ranking them.http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/category/30-years-of-coens/

I've not seen Hudsucker, intolerable cruelty, man who wasnt there or Barton Funk. Gonna watch those and revisit the rest before I see Hail, Caesar. Saw Millers Crossing for the first time yesterday and liked it a lot. Even the bit where one man shoots another man with a Tommy gun for a full minute. Edit: Barton Funk is their little seen musical, you've probably never heard of it.

Inside Llewyn Davis is near the top for me. Haven't seen all of them mind. Like how varied everyone's lists are. Maybe a Coens thread similar to the Pixar one is needed "Ladykillers sucks... A Coen Brothers thread"
-
The Ladykillers, surely

You tried the pudding yet? How is it? Didn't taste it before I wrapped it! Hope you liked everything man. -
Been watching a lot of the Coen brothers films lately. What's your favourite Coen film? Is Hail, Caesar out in the US? I'm quite looking forward to it being released here in a few weeks.

Definitely haven't finished all the delicious snacks already. Nope. No siree, bob. -
Theres another Mystery Screening at my local cinema tomorrow night. Normally I don't bother with the clues but I'm pretty sure I'm not going so let's see if we can solve them. It'll be a film that is due to be released in the UK soon. 1. Theres a change to the usual line up here. 2. The man behind it all just about guarantees OSCAR nominations 3. Kick started Riggan's rebirth 4. 6 Oscar nominations and two wins between the headliners

I have the Blu ray but haven't got round to it yet, need to set aside an entire morning

Saw the Hateful 8 today and thought it was mostly quite shit. First half was alright. Flashback was alright too. I too saw Anolalisa last week and liked it a lot, it looked really nice and it was funny and weird and lovely. Also The Duke of Burgundy. Really brilliant, one of my favourites of the year. Anyone else seen it?

The Idle Book Club 10: The Idle Book Club Returns
Woodfella replied to Chris's topic in Idle Book Club Episodes
I often find that it takes me ages to read a book, whether it's staring blankly at twitter or watching crap on TV, I just get distracted. I Just carry the book around to different parts of the house. Hopefully this will help keep me on track and also I'll hopefully read things I never would have picked up otherwise. Enjoyed the taster/ warm up episode(especially the Ferrante part), looking forward to more.
