It definitely had good moments and it's got Michael Shannon in it so it's not all bad. I'm in the UK and this was an "unseen" screening an event where the cinema screens a film that isn't out yet but you don't know what it is until you arrive.

Saw Midnight Special was pretty disappointed overalll but it has some good moments, like the opening a lot. I was looking forward to this because I love Take Shelter.

Watched Upstream Color again and liked it just as much second time. Brother didn't care for it though, the div. Did have an interpretation I hadn't thought about though.

Well after I'd roasted them with olive oil and taken the skins off there was loads of juices left in the bowl. So I just drizzled some on, quite nice. -

What's everyone putting in their homemade pizzas? -
Going to a mystery screening of a film yet to be released on the UK on Monday. It's cool because the tickets are cheap (£5) and it's nice going on to the screening knowing nothing. They're promising it's something different, stunning and surprising this time. I'm hoping it isn't Anomalisa as I've seen it. They release clues before hand, the first is "Along the same lines as his china-shop turn"

Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

I have been meaning to do this for a while. Gonna try it this weekend. I'm thinking roasted peppers and onions or something as the topping. Ricotta cheese maybe. Might use this guardian recipe but the dough seems unnecessarily long-winded http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2013/may/10/dan-lepard-pizza-dough-tomato-sauce-recipes -
Watched it's such a beautiful day and thought it was completely brilliant. Didn't know anything about it but was browsing Netflix for a short film. Surprising, funny, touching, an amazing experience. If you've got an hour spare and have Netflix (UK version-dunno about the others) you should watch this, you could watch it now. What are you still reading this for? I am stupid though, so if you think it's rubbish I apologise

I actually found and decided to watch Upstream Color because of you Patrick so thanks for that. Loved it. And I'm excited to show it to my brother who likes thesev kind of films. Yes!I had a similar experience, I enjoyed that. about 40 minutes in I was lost. And with Upstream Color which is actually a lot simpler, I have a fair few unanswered questions which I am reluctant to look up the "answers" to. And I watched Coherence earlier today. Someone else told me to watch it when i told them I'd watched Primer. Liked it, surprised to learn afterwards that it was largely improvised. I managed to stay with it all the way up to just before the end.

Watched Primer and I don't quite understand Primer. Enjoyed it less than Upstream Color

I watched Miami Vice earlier and was shocked to discover that it's not shit. It's great in fact. Dunno why I always assumed it was rubbish, probably because my brother's DVD collection consists of this and the Danny Dyer film The Business. Hmm,think I better watch The Business. You never know!

I really want to see these films. I've only seen Ivan's childhood and I liked that a lot. Having difficulty finding them with hardcoded subs

I've seen the film but I watched it on a plane about 5 years ago so I have almost no memory of it. -
