  1. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Even as someone who had to backtrack in the game, I don't really like that. It already has a lot of weirdly abrupt magical things when you start playing. I for one thought the house puzzle was brilliant.
  2. New people: Read this, say hi.

Hey all, Just started listening to the podcast a few months ago. Not sure how I'd missed it up until now, it's great, all of the good things. Am an English Lit/journalism grad who worked for a magazine for a few years, currently enrolled in a 2-year degree for computer programming. Considering a 4-year school with a game design/programming CS degree because I like debt and abuse. Am currently playing Shadowrun: Dragonfall, really looking forward to Civ: Beyond Earth. I've been playing D&D 5, really enjoying the changes. Nice being here, best wishes, @TinyConstruct
  3. Jonathan Blow has been doing some interesting talks on creating a new language for game programmers. So far they've mostly discussed what the features/syntax would make game programmer enjoy their daily lives more than they do with C++, which may not be your main concern, but they may make for interesting viewing regardless: https://www.youtube.com/user/jblow888

Without giving anything away for others, it's probably going to get worse, but you'll probably know when it's at its scariest. When I hit that point, I waited until daytime. I played the original Amnesia at night with headphones, but that's not what I wanted most out of this game.
  5. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

I wrote a short, non-spoilery review for it. Short version: I really liked it, and it feels like a game that really meant for people who enjoy this sort of thing: http://andrewosthoff.com/the-vanishing-of-ethan-carter/
