  1. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

It's just Jackie Chan getting chased across the galaxy for 90 minutes. It ends with an him in an X-wing flight suit getting a kiss on the cheek, and as he smiles at the camera, his teeth sparkle and it fades out with a circle like in a Looney Tunes cartoon. They also throw in the boulder chase from Raiders for no reason, and a cardboard box full of plastic snakes gets dumped on him while he's trying to balance on wooden poles over lava.
  2. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

I can't wait for the scene where the magical space wizard singes his finger on his laser hilt. JJ Abrams is going to be so embarrassed.
  3. An email I sent to Giantbomb

I don't know if he's told this on the bombcast, but Dan's been warned by his doctor that he's at risk of getting diabetes. He even switched to an all salad diet, only he didn't realize that the salad he'd been dieting on was full of mayonnaise.
  4. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

I think he's cutting the horse open so he can climb inside it.
  5. An email I sent to Giantbomb

I've been watching a lot of GameInformer Super Replays lately, and I find him a lot funnier on those. It's mainly cause those guys gave him way more crap for saying dumb stuff, though. If you've got a few hours to kill i recommend watching the Super Replay of Tail of the Sun on youtube. It's basically Dan playing through a weird Japanese caveman game with no instructions. It's highly entertaining.
  6. Jurassic World: Wasting away in Margaritaville

I present the Jurrasic World hybrid:
  7. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

I just don't want this to be another interchangeable action-adventure movie with Star Wars flavoring. If there's a ultimate force-power MacGuffin I'm going to barf. That score, though. Omg.
  8. Jurassic World: Wasting away in Margaritaville

Should have specified. I meant goofy character actors.
  9. Jurassic World: Wasting away in Margaritaville

The thing that kills it for me isn't the ludicrous premise, but the severe lack of character actors. At least in this trailer.
  10. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

It's pointless to argue with them about "objective reviews," cause it's not what they want. They just hide behind the term, because saying what they really want sounds kinda bad.
  11. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

I like his awesome debate technique of going in knives out and then putting up a civil front when it's not going his way. Gross.
  12. Social Justice

I've always kinda wondered if all the strawmen and misconceptions regarding PC and feminism are all informed by parodies from the 80s and 90s. Because the first thing I picture when someone mentions PC are sketches where a group of comedians dressed as children of every ethnicity and a guy in a wheel chair do bad musical numbers, and the word feminism conjures up Married With Children immediately.
  13. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

You can buy the shirt? I thought he had fallen asleep next to a van while it was being airbrushed or something.
  14. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

I think Gamergate people would actually be pretty happy if the gaming press were completely third-party PR. If these people are composed of the same hardcore gamers I've been encountering over the last few years, it seems like they want every AAA game to get an A for effort anyway.
  15. This isn't an episodic specific observation, but it's interesting that both Twin Peaks and the X-Files deal with some of the same stuff. Both shows have this running theme of modernity encroaching on these last hidden vestiges of pre-franchised America and shedding light on its hidden monsters.
  16. I thought the bro-fetus was pretty disturbing considering it's supposed to be the psyche of the nutbag conservative dad who just killed his whole family. I don't think the game was exactly condoning what the fetus was saying.
  17. I love that Chris' refererence point for Peter Dinklage is The Station Agent.
