  1. Ouya: Ooooh Yeah!

I'm curious about this too, because I think local co-op only is generally a hard sell these days, isn't it? (for PC)
  2. Ouya: Ooooh Yeah!

I heard about them being in the parking lot, but not the rest. It actually sounds like a farce. Maybe someone could be coaxed into making a fictionalised retrospective documentary, they have material for it.
  3. Plug your shit

I accidentally read the song title as Transistor-y, I'm sorry. It sounded really cool though, it was a fitting atmospheric track to make asteroid sprites to.
  4. Ouya: Ooooh Yeah!

If I remember right, it was about the idea of a more free, more open platform. Indie games being so big was a new development, as was kickstarter. So the fact that such a community centric project could produce a working console for people was very enticing. I wasn't really interested either, at the time I just felt like consoles as a whole weren't worth it but I guess my apartment is pretty cramped. I was relatively sold on the idea being interesting, and I foolishly thought that the pledges and support would transfer entirely to everyone wanting to play on their Ouya and buy games on it.
  5. Ouya: Ooooh Yeah!

It's a massive missed opportunity that the Ouya didn't feature a stretch goal for making a documentary, because there's something really amazing that could have been made, contrasting the kickstarter high with the descent into obscurity that happened post release. I feel really bad for the people who worked on it and revelled in the hype it built up only for the wave to dissipate entirely, and I'd love to get the inside perspective on it.
  6. New people: Read this, say hi.

Jag tycker att jag vara inte så god också. Ibland jag frågar min flickvän om min mening är rätt... men ofta hon skrattar när hon läser det... I'm enjoying it too, I need to start finding more excuses to use it.
  7. Idle Thumbs 157: Molymoto

I get what you mean, I only mentioned that because the Thumbs said that was generally a barrier for them, and I'm not sure if you have played 999 but the cast seems to heavily play into tropes intentionally. I personally don't see it as a downside at all, I think in 999 it added a lot to the plot because of what I said above. But I've always been willing to accept the tropes if there's still something I like for me to latch on to. Whereas other people might find it a bit harder. I assume it's mostly that they'd like to have certain aspects of how the Japanese industry approaches games but without other aspects that are less attractive (like the fanservice for example).
  8. New people: Read this, say hi.

Hello! I am an animator and have an addiction to podcasts accompanying me when I work. IdleThumbs being my favourite for the perfect blend of interesting deep discussion on video game topics and personalities I like talking about dumb funny things. I am also an Irish resident and making a game, though I'm just doing the art and I'm way earlier in development... I started last week. Are you active in the irish indie scene at all Timeslip or are you mostly focused on getting your game done? Hej! Jag lär mig svenska också, så att jag kan prata med min flickvän. Det är svårt...
  9. Visual Art!

For only two pages of stuff there's some crazy diverse work going on here. I'm pretty new but I can show you guys a quick mock up I did for a game I'm collaborating with a programmer on. It's pixel art and I was hoping to try do something simple but effective, I think this is a good start.
  10. Idle Thumbs 157: Molymoto

I really recommend 999 anyway, as an unusual and interesting narrative and situation to put characters in then watch what happens. As a caveat though, I do not recommend trying to work out the ending too hard. It doesn't make total sense in a way you could unpack until the game has lead you through most of the plot. So when a friend of mine played through she hated the ending for the ways it was dumb, but because I was just along for ride I found it a really enjoyable experience. I am also all for the Thumbs taking a look, but this is definitely not a game that breaks away from anime tropes.
