  1. Android Games

This is the 'google rewards' that I'm familiar with: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.paidtasks&hl=en I think it is restricted to US only, though. (and android only, AFAIK) They also have 'security research' rewards: http://www.google.com/about/appsecurity/programs-home/ but I don't really know anything about those (and I think they're much larger rewards, probably not what's being referred to in this thread)
  2. Awesome; that's totally it! I do remember it being rather excellent and I'm going to go buy it right now. Thanks, 'what the crap was that game called again' thread!
  3. I've got one (that my memory is pretty fuzzy on, so I may be misremembering some of the details) - I played it on the PC, maybe around 2000? It was 3D, set on a space station and maybe sort of vaguely RTS? You had to do some sort of terraforming and manage the space station. I don't remember if there were actually 'enemies' or fighting at all. Sorry that's such a vague description...
  4. Who here likes video games?

also, importantly, who here likes video games? [edit: hah! is there a forum setting that won't let one post video games without the space? that's hilarious. except it foiled my dumb joke]
  5. Recently completed video games

I've been sloooowly playing through icewind dale recently after picking it up in one of those gog everything-DnD package deals a while back. With a widescreen mod that lets you pick a higher resolution, the graphics hold up remarkably well; I guess because they're mostly static 2d backdrops.
  6. Apologies if this is in the wrong subforum; it's not strictly gaming related since as far as I can tell there's no actual content yet, just dev stuff; but the google cardboard VT googles looks kinda nifty, even it's mostly a joke. https://developers.google.com/cardboard/ I think I've already seen 'Oculus Thrift' used as a name by some pun-happy wag on twitter.
  7. Android Games

I was hooked on Knights of Pen and Paper for quite a while; it's a mildly humorous RPG-lite that was great for playing in 5-10 minute chunks
  8. New people: Read this, say hi.

Hi! I've been listening to the podcast for ~ a year now and noticed that I've started reading the forums for the past month or so and figured that I might as well register an account throw in my occasional two cents. game-wise, I re-discovered video games about a year ago after a ~12-15 year hiatus and have been spending my limited gaming time in a state of total amazement at how much has been done with games in the meantime. (I recently played through half-life 2 and portal!)
