Yeah I read all those douchey response options as things that you might think or you believe (as a character) but might not actually say. I agree that I thought there was no reason, as a player, to believe those things to be true. I liked it a lot, and am glad you posted about it! I can definitely understand your read of it.

Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

Shredded Cheese Noodle Cheese mix (ricotta, mozz & parm) Sauce mix (sauce, onions, sausage and hamburger) Noodle Cheese mix Sauce mix Noodle I did use more ricotta than the recipe called for because they only sell it in 16 & 32 oz containers meaning that it's either not enough or too much, and I like to err on the side of too much cheese. The great thing about making a giant lasagna is that you have it for leftovers the whole week! -
I'm sorry that you couldn't get it working. It is very much amateur hour and I tried really hard to correct some of the fundamental flaws with it but was totally unsuccessful. I really only worked on this for about 4 afternoons during the wizard jam. Like I had mentioned I had the most familiarity with Python, and was going to use that unless someone needed my help I wasn't going to use another toolset. I had never really used Tkinter before, which is the main UI package for python. I spent much of my first day doing tutorials of how to create windows and add in images. I spent some time making place holder meows to start building songs. (I thought it would be super funny to have someone pick Little Star of Bethlehem and for them to actually sing All-Star by Smashmouth, so I definitely did that.) The #1 problem I encountered was that no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get it so if you interrupted a meow with a key press it would queue up the next meow rather than repeat the one that had played. It was incredibly frustrating and I made no progress at fixing this despite my best efforts. Basically I just named the sound files as the note they represented, then strung them together into an array that i called the song name, and as notes were sung they were deleted off the front of the array. If I was better disciplined, I would have done an easier restart rather than closing and re-running the game. (If you haven't done so, if you pick dibs & no song title, Dibs will sing for you.) Basically because there's so little interactivity, all I needed were key listeners and when someone pressed a s d or f, the corresponding cat is redrawn with an open mouth, and then when the note ends goes back to a closed mouth. Do you have any specific questions about what I did or how I did it or how I approached problems? As I don't have any experience with traditional game making toolsets I don't really know how it differs.

YAY! I'M SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT! There is a lot of environmental story telling that takes place in the game that's subtle if you're not looking for it. I actually had an email exchange with Jay about the game a while back and he: -

prettyunsmart: did you play the game multiple times for different endings? Which ending did you get?

Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

I cover my top noodle layer in cheese (different than the cheese mix inside the lasagna). This is usually shredded mozzarella, maybe with some Parmesan thrown in as opposed to the ricotta/mozzarella/parmesan mix inside. -
The whole point of this thread is to gush and post lots of pictures of adorable cats! I left town for a week for Christmas and really missed my cat. There are days I'm at work and want to go home just to be near a cat who mostly just tolerates me.

Dropsy was my GOTY also. I loved it so much and it made me cry. It's so earnest and compassionate. -

I actually used ricotta instead of cottage cheese. It makes this creamy cheese layer that I really like. When you combine it and bake it it smooths out a lot. I don't like the texture of cottage cheese. -

http://www.food.com/recipe/absolute-best-ever-lasagna-28768 This is the third time I've made this. Each time i've diverged from the recipe in some way. The first 2 I did a 50/50 split of sausage & hamburger, this time i observed their split, but did not make my own sauce. I browned the sausage & onions, and added store bought sauce (roasted garlic). I also got a chunk of mozzarella rather than shredded this time, and cut it into chunks for the inside, and shredded it myself for the top. In the future I would 1. tip the 75/25 split in favor of the sausage over the hamburger 2. go back to shredded mozzarella throughout 3. if i do store bought sauce, make sure there's more of it. I did let the thing simmer as instructed while I prepared the other steps. I would also stay sober longer, and not burn my tongue on the sauce. It's hard to test the sauce if you can't taste. it was impossible to get a slice that came out clean, so it's not beautiful but it is very tasty -
Some honorable mentions to games I played in 2015 that came out previously and are therefore ineligible for GOTY 2015 status as defined by me. I got a 3DS for Christmas last year, meaning I got to spend a lot of time in 2015 playing games that I had missed out on by being fairly late to the party 1. Hatoful Boyfriend - one of 2 games to make me cry last year (the other was Dropsy), supremely touching, funny, and creepy. I will wait forever for you mr. math professor-senpai. We will be together someday. 2. Story Of Seasons - a return to the parts of Harvest Moon I like best - farming & finding a husband. Improves farming by speeding it up, provides crops to farm in the winter which improves greatly on what made the older games a slog through the winter & cutting out the unnecessary mining save scumming mini game from before. Highly recommend if you like Harvest Moon 3. Pokemon X - Man, I just really love Pokemon you guys. I'll play this game as many times as Game Freak will make it. 4. Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Played a LOT of this, loved it. I enjoyed having the new shops and businesses open up. It kept me coming back every day for like 3 months. 5. Pokemon Art Academy - yo, this is just super duper fun.

My bf does the bulk of the cooking but we're always looking to outsource our idea generation elsewhere so we don't have to think about it. I would definitely be interested in participating. I like the idea of having a food idea that we start with, and all make variations on it, or even a specific ingredient a la iron chef. -
I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if Rey is Luke's kid and is therefore Kylo's cousin, but sibling? I would be surprised if that's where they went for her with either Finn or Kylo.

If you like Undertale, but also like point & click adventures, try Dropsy. If you like Dropsy, but don't mind a little bullet hell gameplay, try Undertale! Those 2 games have a lot in common when it comes to themes of love and compassion and forgiveness! It's a shame they came out so close together.

My top 3 of 2015: 3. Cibele - I love when honest stories about women get the room to be told, and this one was particularly relatable to me. I love the desktop simulator as genre, and loved the care put into faithfully recreating young relationships especially those that take place primarily online. 2. Contradiction - I think this game was hurt by its poor UI choices initially. By the time I played it, that had all settled. A fantastic experience to play with a friend or romantic partner over 1 - 2 play sessions. Made me laugh a lot, had a great, fun core gameplay loop. Highly recommended. 1. Dropsy - I've gone on at length to anyone that will listen about why I love this game so much. I think it has some of the best puzzles adventure games have to offer, has a huge heart and cares so much about its characters. There are a few story details that can be hard to decipher (which was extremely fun for me to puzzle over after I completed the game.) Thsis game is now out on iPad! Please everyone play it. (There's a free DLC/content patch coming soon after the new year also.)

I'm doing Christmas with my boyfriend's family and have had a lot of wine (a bottle) to deal with it. It's board game night and I don't know if anything inspires more anxiety in me than board/card/domino games and guess what I'm constantly being asked to play?
