  1. If you pick up cooking you can make dyes pretty fast, I could buy the strawberries for those on the AH but not the dye itself. After you got the dyes it's free to swap colours, I like that part a lot. Also I found out you can take off those dumb WoW size pauldrons as well as the helmet!

  2. Yeah, I didn't like that. It felt really weird.

Time and space travel in my fantasy RPG?

Just didn't belong in my opinion.

I just loved going from town to town, looking for Ciri and helping people out for money. Being a monster detective is just so awesome.

The journal has Dandelion call Ciri

the Lady of Time and Space

    :P

  3. There were some pretty great scenes in the last part, after Kaer Morhen, like

the world/dimension travelling? that one promo screenshot with 2-3 moons was from this scene/level that was only used once

There's other great stuff but I remembered that one the most.

  4. Teachers of physics in all my school years except the last one, before uni, taught physics formulas by drawing this triangle and writing in F=m*a.

To find out what the formula for what you're looking for the task is, just cover that one up and the triangle tells you if it's m*a, F/m or F/a! It works for work, electrical currents, etc.

It's absolute garbage. Then you get to heat exchanges and this triangle does not work. You need to use formulas that have more than 3 variables like

    TempSpecificEq.gif

Or more if you have vaporization, etc. I think most of the class ended up purely memorizing the equation and plugging numbers into it.

  5. Outside of Dr. Boom, are there really that many legendaries that really make or break?  I guess if you want a control deck big legendaries are important.

You could do druid without legendaries but it has 4-6 required class epics minimum. Patron has very low requirements besides the adventures. But both of these are more combo decks.

Zoo/face hunter need no legendaries but they're both aggro. Secret paladin might not need any? Rogue decks have 2 preparations (class epic) but otherwise cheap to craft cards since only oil rogue is played.

Any control deck seems to need 3-4 legendaries.

Oh nevermind, I forgot about Sylvanas. You can stick her in most decks besides zoo warlock, face hunter, patron and oil rogues.

  6. This is really interesting to read! I know a little about FEM and nothing at all about designing or programming in GameMaker or programming anything to work in real time.

Have you thought about using a custom mesh for your FEM? It's probably a lot harder to implement than just using a grid but you could potentially save yourself the trouble of calculating cells in areas in the middle of balloons where there's nothing interesting, as well as take care of dumb behaviour appearing at tight corners. You could then scale how fine the mesh is too! For performance.

  7. I'm still kind of weirded out when people talk about this kind of thing because of how different university culture is in my neck of the woods. Like, from what I've gathered talking to friends studying in other places, our curricula are much more modular, meaning you might see a different group of people in every course you do and never really get to know the people who started at the same time as you, or indeed never form the kind of bonds you see in movies and sitcoms at all. Dorms exist, and apparently so do wild parties, but most students get a flat or flatshare around town and don't spend that much time on campus itself. And since fraternities played an unsavory part in the proliferation of fascist politics in academia during the 30s and 40s (right up to hunting down jewish students) they're a completely niche phenomenon around here, kept alive by a bunch of neonazi trash under the guise of "tradition".

So I'm never completely sure if things I take for granted about being a student look completely weird to other people. Apparently nobody outside of the German-speaking world does that "drum your knuckles on the table at the end of a lecture instead of applauding" thing either?

I've seen the knuckle drumming happen but not at regular lectures. Yeah, applauding at the end of lectures wasn't common either.

Students mostly know people from their study department, there's little contact between students of engineering and medicine. If you live in a student dorm you'll meet a lot of people outside of those, so that's great. There's no fraternities or similar, dorms have wild parties sometimes but those parties happen in 6-12 person apartments' kitchens, not some club house.

  8. Have you found the courier mail boxes yet? I dunno where all of them are but one is in Primm, one in Novac and one in Freeside, probably others as well. You can use any of them to send any items to any of the other ones and the items will wait there for you. It gives you a pop up that'll list all of them, might be more than 3 but no more than 5 I think. Maybe Goodsprings has one?
