I kinda like the 2 minute respawn time, sometimes it'll happen that the 2-3 farmers on the team clear all the camps on our side of the map, and we kinda mill about with no idea what to do. Because we've been avoiding the enemy team? Maybe it'll make some 5 manning occur more naturally, in the herding-cats kind of way.

The whole thing is a gold sink, but it does give some nice text only quests for your inactive party members every so often.

Sniper is probably 100% mandatory. Either WW or phoenix so you can heal, because lifesteal alone is not enough. Ember seems also badly needed but rushing a BF with him is garbage, you don't do enough damage. Maelstrom on the other hand has a good chance of proccing when one sleight causes you to hit 50 targets. PA has a counterattack thing whenever she evades after using blink strike, blink strike giving another 15% on top. Even with 50-60%+ it doesn't seem enough. The dagger spam is pretty good, can actually lifesteal back enough HP sometimes.

Yeah the event is cool. I've only gotten past wave 8 once. But wave 8 of a sea of Kunkkas and Tidehunters is insane. You only need to reach wave 5 to get the daily bonus of 35k, enough for a spin on the wheel. In regular games, Lycan seems pretty broke with the howl giving +400 HP and +50 dmg to the whole team. The 400 HP actually heals. I end lycan games with more healing than damage but that's mostly because it counts off necro and HOTD creeps I think.

The game's funded now! They're adding stretch goals, first one is multiclassing. I haven't seen any game where it wasn't either totally broken or broke as fuck. The documentary they filmed was previously only partly available unless you were a higher tier backer. The full 80 minutes are now up on their youtube I watched it yesterday, it's a good watch. The way they recorded vocals and music for their 1st trailer was surprising. Also since this is the first post in nearly a year in this thread, the same YT channel also has a 4 part Director Commentary with Josh Sawyer, each about 1 hour long. Mostly taking questions from the Twitch chat, it was live streamed. Also! Their twitter account's been posting different wallpapers/splash screens(?) with quotes. It's nearly certainly POE2. Probably will include pirates and take place in the Deadfire Archipelago. I think one of the above mentioned streams confirmed they'll let you import a save game.
