  1. DOTA 2

I think it's worth picking up on any melee that isn't going to farm tons that is also somehow trading hits with the enemy. And on Naix. If you're 1v1 or 2v2 it's probably worth it, 1v3 not really IMO.
  2. Isn't all art in chapels and such basically fan art? The Divine Comedy is the first fan fic of our time! None of that shit was/is canon. Unless I remembered wrong.
  3. DOTA 2

Groups get the members MMR artificially raised. If you can't handle losing half your games, you aren't going to enjoy playing dota long term. I guess you could take the advice of mr. Петров and uninstall.
  4. DOTA 2

Jungle farming is less money than farming in a lane. Lycan can get fucked in jungle easily if anyone blocks your camps, moves to the jungle to kill you a few times or a bounty delaying your everything by a long time by killing your wolves or whatever. In jungle anyone looks at him and he dies since he can't sit on full HP until he has a vlads. There's few heroes that are actually better in the jungle than a lane. Chen and enchantress are obviously better to start in jungle and you can either gank or farm more from there. Enigma is pretty great in jungle since he's so fast at killing camps. Sand king, dark seer, bat can farm big stacks easily. Lycan laning can go howl since he doesn't need wolves on every cooldown so he has mana, the damage helps any team fights your team has even if you aren't there. Lone druid and furion are pretty similar for jungle or lane I think. I haven't gotten to try furion lane in a pub and I haven't tried it in 5 stacks since I've never tried it before. There's this video of the ice cubed just fucking over an entire lane with furion http://www.twitch.tv/iceiceice/c/2786008 it's long but also takes a lot of effort. Lone druid can fuck over a lot of duo lanes. The bear can pull creeps to you from behind the tower while the druid is in complete safety. Once you hit 5 you are so scary. Bear roots anything that doesn't have 1k HP you're killing it or atleast hurting it so bad it needs to salve or run to base. You don't need to gear the druid, tranquils is good so you're full HP and some armor. Your ulti gives you so much HP and armor so you don't need items while you leash around the bear. The bear also doesn't need any defence to start with. Druid's probably the best hero to get radiance on if you aren't coordinating with your team so you aren't relying on them to not lose the game while your radiance pays for itself from farming. Bear has HP, he gets the burning sword and runs around in teamfights without dying. You can go for the safer play if you aren't keen on farming 3.8k gold for the relic. Boots, OOV, Phase boots, maelstrom, hyperstone, AC, basher into more items. OOV is probably worth it even if you are going radi since the root isn't an orb effect anymore and it makes the bear chase even better. Every hit the bear makes should have you scared. If it gets a root on you, that'll mean you die. But you need a few levels since naked bear at level 1 isn't good for autoattacking but it's good enough to somehow get the creep wave to your tower. A bear in the jungle is just sad. It slowly eats whatever it finds unless it's an ursa camp which he must skip. You need to burn the bear summon cooldown to not have to stop which is pretty risky since the cooldown is like 3 minutes at level 1. If you die you can't do much. LD is just so much better in lane than in jungle, even more so than lifestealer. I'd say get a midas if you're free farming in a lane or somehow jungling. If you're free farming you should get the radi at a decent timing despite the midas and it'll give you faster levels. If you're in the jungle it's whatever, you're jungling LD, just go double midas. If you go double midas you'll be in the hole till minute 35. You can't juggle em for more exp either. The 2nd midas is you giving out a loan to the shopkeeper. Vlads is a bit better on LD than on most carries since he has enough slots to not care about carrying a 2k item. It also helps the team push towers which the level 4 bear does really well.
  5. Grand Thumb Auto retro PC edition

Will the multiplayer work after that?
  6. DOTA 2

I'm just saying, if you were going to do it, you might as well wait for some arbitrary rewards for your arbitrary personal challenge.
  7. DOTA 2

Wouldn't it make more sense to wait till the stretch goal is met that'll give rewards? Might be a few weeks but the challenge takes a few months anyway.
  8. DOTA 2

I feel sorry for your luck if all you have are stomps in your past games.
  9. DOTA 2

This was nearly all the games of HoN I played where the vote was put up at 15. They later added a 30 or 40 min for 4 out of 5 to go through. Ask anyone who's played HON. There's assholes that will try a smoke gank on mid as enchantress with a wildkin by walking up to the enemy, fail, then spend the rest of the game away from team fights and build a rapier after a midas to feed it to the enemy. Or start buying couriers en masse and send em to die. But the game doesn't incentivize giving up. If you get a button to get to play the next match at any point after 15 minutes, it will be used mostly by players who can't stand to play from behind. Yeah it'll solve those 10 games out of 500 that you spend inside a fountain while a pudge was fishing but it also fucks up all the other games since you will never see a fucking tier 3 tower be attacked anymore. Call gg at 20 when the enemy antimage has battlefury, treads and manta guys. There's no chance he'd fuck up.
  10. DOTA 2

Surrender is the fucking devil. How good is dota if you only had about half of your games go past 20 minutes? I queue up, solo, with a buddy or whatever. Why does 1 guy on the team get to decide "its over guys, afk in fountain"? You wanted to play a dota game, play it till it ends. You know it can take 15, 20 or 70 minutes. It isn't a game for 10 min quick rounds or pick up and play and it'd be a shame if it changed into that. HON had it and it also had a worse community. It also exacerbated all the problems of pub dota. The stats whoring, the blaming, the win rate, KDA, AverageGPM checking while heroes are picked so a guy who sometimes plays supports isn't playing your carry. The 10 minute calls of "gg, concede at 15". It's 15 min and 3/5 people vote yet to surrender. Guess what they'll do if one or both of the other two guys don't vote yes. They won't go back to playing to win, they'll intentionally play badly until the other two see that it's hopeless to try to win with them anymore and will vote concede. It just makes people angrier. 15k gold or exp advantage as a requirement for having the vote be available it also bad unless you somehow kept it hidden from the player base. They'll figure it out and then see that they're behind but not enough yet so let's go feed the enemy some courier money or maybe suicide to unlock the vote. It's pretty selfish to want to decide a game is over if you're playing with 4 random guys on your team. You have around 3k games played but you never came back from being 1 rax down? 2 rax down? All in push down mid after enemy gets all 3 raxes but are all dead with no buybacks?
  11. The Witcher 3: What Geralt Wants

It removes the button mashing of it I think. It's still a tough fight. I guess it makes sense. The other boss in act 1 is even tougher though, they fixed some of the spells you could use to trivialise it.
  12. The Witcher 3: What Geralt Wants

She's mentioned a few times but I can't remember if it's W1 or W2. Yennefer is also a bit in 1 but a lot more in 2, it's explained as Geralt recovers more memories how he ended up where he started Witcher 1 at. She's in a lot of those artsy still pictures they use for memory cutscenes. There's not much on the wild hunt in W1, in witcher 2 there's a bit more. I'm pretty sure you aren't going to save Ciri as much as follow her around looking at the stuff she's burned up.
  13. How is bowser evil? Or mario good? Bowser kills noone in any game, mario kills uncountable amounts of persons.
  14. Please, just spawn the enemies in a circle around the player. FLANK'D For true tactical AI supremacy keep spawning them as they die.
  15. DOTA 2

You sure about going AC on tide? Armourr's good but a shivas fits him a lot more. Blink and arcanes are pretty needed, drums are cool if the team doesn't have any yet. But basher seems like a joke item to build on tide. Abyssal could be made but hex costs 1k less for a pretty similar effect. Have you tried making an urn or force staff? Ghost scepter might be good vs certain physical hero teams and you can upgrade it to an ethereal blade to save team mates from being focused. I think I saw someone in a tournament game eblade a BKBed ally so he could escape.
  16. DOTA 2

Try going soul ring tranquil on wisp, SR gives a hero 200 or so mana and then heals em from your tranquils.
  17. Morrowind had some benefits from finding out what NPC didn't have any quests in a given town and then killing them so you could use their house as storage.
  18. Sleeping no underscore Dogs also had incentives for not running people over. To get a perfect score you also had to not touch anything while driving or break any street lamps or even little puny fences and traffic cones. To get street cred you had to at the same time fuck up people by sticking them into air conditioning units. The game still has/had the same problem, you can be a fucking psycho in between missions. There's not much point to it though. And guns are harder to find. Is Assassins Creed the only series that had "don't kill civilians" as a limit when you wander around? Every town had 9 guards for every civilian though.
  19. Where were the IT references in GH?
  20. DOTA 2

Nah, they've always stacked. As in, 1st one procs, 2nd one can't. If the 1st one doesn't proc, 2nd one can.
  21. DOTA 2

Go pick axe for 5 games and do this, you'll find a variety of ways you're gonna get fucked over by the enemy team for doing this. You gotta know how to last hit creeps under a tower with no extra creeps. It's dead easy when you're at around 50 dmg per autoattack, just hit each creep once and let the tower take em down to last hit range. You'll get every single CS.
  22. I'm trying to find a youtube video but all these assholes run past all the space trucks and aren't not jumping ramps, just walking off them.
  23. DOTA 2

He's in CM in Dota1 so he'll probably be added a week or two after he's added to Dota2. He'll be picked slightly less than pudge.
  24. Last time I played TF2 the general 'best loadout' was the default one. Atleast for most classes, demo's default grenade launcher and stickies were the best, the stupid sword was a gimick, etc. Only the medic had a viable choice for the uber flavour. I guess most of the melee weapons were straight upgrades with negligible downsides like the pickaxe that made you run faster as a soldier, crits on burning targets pyro and medics uber saw that drained uber juice out of victims. Scout, soldier, demo, medic, spy had the best loadout be the default one. I guess pyro needs the axe, engineer I can't remember, heavy needs food badly and sniper's shit regardless of loadout.
  25. But that's not really a colour commentator is it?
