I generally feel that it's better to include minorities for the sake of it, because that's a change I generally want to see in the medium, and I'll fight for what little influence I can have in it. I guess I feel like if you make your "minority" character a "normal" character, that's a contribution to dismantling the idea of race, and that's a good thing. I disagree with the idea that if you make a minority character that your game has to say something about it, as long as you're not making something that lies about history or the real world, you're still going to make a positive change.

Hey megaspel, not that I'm any authority on what makes a good portfolio, but yours is noisy and not obvious to navigate. If rigging, modelling, and mocap are your top three skills, the first thing I should see on the page are examples of that. If you get your demo reel done that's a great thing to have as your landing page. Get rid of all the fancy motion stuff, get clean simple backgrounds, the focus of the portfolio should be the content within it, not the site itself. Sorry to be so harsh.

I broke my collarbone yesterday. I was riding my BMX, doing a trick I'd done 100 times before, the thing I had been practicing all summer, Something went wrong this time causing my bike to slip sideways out from under me as I was coming down the ramp. I slammed down hard on my left side, my helmet hit hard, my shoulder for hard, my whole left side hit hard. After I pulled myself together, I realized something was wrong with my shoulder. Some folks helped me get out of the bowl, and I was able to get myself home so that my girlfriend could take me to the ER. The collarbone breaking is fortunately pretty common. My arm is in a sling and that should be enough to get it to heal. It hurt pretty bad, I'm on T3s to help with the pain. I should be healed up in six weeks.

I've found that I've become more and more adverse to board games which don't put forward a good reason why they shouldn't just be computer game instead. Me and a buddy played 2 games of Twilight Struggle, and both times we fucked up keeping track of the rules, we enjoyed it fine, but there's so much to internalize, a computer keeping track of it would be much preferable. That's not the worst offender, just one that came to mind.

The construction of everything in the park being that futurey white makes it look fake and bland. Edit: I guess watching it again, that criticism is mostly for the monorail that is shown a few times, but yeah, all those establishing shots look real fake.

You have to have the "error pause" feature in the console window pressed for it to pause when an error is thrown, good for debugging!
