Such a good fucking song. That perspective flip when it hits the second verse, damn.
  3. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Can't wait for the album to drop These streets make it so hard to breathe Highs and my lows Look both ways, where I'm supposed to go Jay Rock is channeling some ODB
  4. That was a clusterfuck of a video and scheme. I also have a strong feeling that the game will mess up their "augument apartheid" theme they're going for. I just have no faith in most companies pulling off an issue that complex. *sigh* Indie games a bit more.

But muh freedom of speech. 1. One thing I've learned is that it's hard to close to impossible to change people, especially when they get older. I've learned to let it go and not even engage because it's going to be a hassle and both parties are going to leave with a bad taste in their mouth. My uncle drops nigger a lot and I've talked to him about, no go. I had the same conversation with my Mom and Dad; although, they have stopped saying it and moved to The Blacks to having a tolerance to them. So, a pyrrhic victory, I think, but I'll take it. It's like that with older generations and like I said, I leave it and accept it. 2. That's some lazy ass fucking jokes. Comedy is allowed to be a free-for-all BUT there has to be some depth to it. Even if it doesn't have depth, 99% of it is not funny, it's just racist/sexist and any ist shit. A lot of these motherfuckers that complain about rampant "PC culture" are full of shit and want to hold on to their ability to be assholes without being funny, thoughtful assholes. UGH. I have so many thoughts about this subject because I love comedy.

I'm sorry, man. Really, I mean it but listen here: You did fuck all wrong. She's was the one that was unstable and continually moving all over the place and making YOU second guess yourself/feel like shit. Take it from me--experience--there's nothing on the other side but pain. What did you was incredibly hard, but it was needed and yeah it's going to fucking hurt; you'll get over it, learn and gain insight. All you can do right now distract yourself and focus on you, homie. After a while I recommend writing a little journal on this, and I also recommend you write it in third-person: it gives you an outside perspective on the situation if you see your name written down/

  13. Idle Thumbs 225: Read Our Lips

When Sean is talking about Rick and Morty, there's an underlining motorcycle sound(?). It gave a great dramatic feel when he phrasing the, "it's not an accident!"
  14. Idle Thumbs 225: Read Our Lips

Holy shit! Spitting Image! My old man got into that as a kid too. Recently, he wanted to something like it and do a videocast, but from more of a conservative angle. I swear there was an American Version of it...

Chris agreed three times. That's how much he agrees with that statement

I know the biology of it, but the more social nuances always get to me. I've hung out with women most my life too! The fuck man... Whatever, I'll learn and get better. Thanks for the article, Apple Cider.

Homie, treat yo self by realizing the situation has gone somewhat fubar. My choice: Don't go to Italy, drop her ass and move on. There are waaaaaaaay too many red flags I'm catching from this person and the way things are heading or going, this shit ain't going to go well for you and everyone is going to get hurt and you'll be in pain for a while.
  18. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

WTF! Goddamn it, I want my copy

im always down.A lot of the women I've been with or hang out with always educates my dumb ass on it; I hate being ignorant on such topics.
  20. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

The new Three Moves Ahead podcast on Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat allowed me to find the game that's been eluding me for years: Warhammer: dark omen. For the longest time I thought it was an early Legacy of Cain game I was playing, but no. NO! My memories lied to me and upon hearing TMA and image googling Horned Rat that it looks looked familiar. Further listening said there was a sequel to the game and lo and behold, I finally came across the game that's been haunting me for years: Dark Omen. Man, I can't wait to play the shit out of it.

I feel ya. I'm in that headspace right now and it's always hard. There's no relieve and you just have to find coping mechanisms. Hosking gives great advice Be a great active listener. When I mean active: look and read the person's facial and body language when you're listening. And if possible, be physical--if allowed, read the situation--when need be. From there, you can engage with the conversation. If you can't, you can extend the conversation or move into something different by honing in on certain things that might light a person up, that way you can lessen how much you talk. That's why you have to be active and pick up on the subtleties of the human voice and body. Two: Get a therapist. It most definitely helps and allows you to open up about your fears and depression; it's a wonderful release. For the most part, you will be hiding your depression from people because people really don't want to hear it and want nothing to do with it. So, you're going to have to find other venues to release what's inside.
  24. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

Doesn't surprise me. White supremacy--especially white male supremacy--has had a long legacy in sci-fi and now that slowly losing power, those white writers are scrambling to try to hold on to it. A lot of what they complain about is the same cliche, garbage that gets spewed when PoC and women start to gain power and shift the power structure. These same people are the same ones that fucked with the Hugos and Nebulas and other awards. Fuck 'em.
  25. Idle Thumbs 224: Ms. Petman

Whitehouse, Boyd Rice, Current 93 and the like ruled my listening for a while. I remember wanting to check out Soto's written work, but damn glad I didn't. Like you, I have this conversation a lot with my music friends. I always get it because I'm hugely open about race and gender politics, but I can listen to a one of those bands and not think twice about it sometimes. EDIT: There's been a continual conversation about this in the sci-fi/horror/weird fiction domain about some of its writers especially Lovecraft http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2015/08/hp-lovecraft-125/401471/ http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2014/01/the-product-of-its-time-defense-no-excuse-for-sexism-and-racism/283352/ http://weirdfictionreview.com/2012/09/moving-past-lovecraft/
