  1. The AI declared war on me, I have a big empire and powerful allies, I wonder if they know something I don't. In any event EXCITING!
  2. Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

My first foray into using veggie sausages (All I could find was vegetarian breakfast sausage WTF Lunds/Whole Foods?) I used to make this when I still ate meat and it was always super good: https://food52.com/recipes/31903-roasted-sausage-tomatoes-and-peppers This time I added pearl onions which I think go with it quite well. The 'sausages' are definitely the weakest part, but overall still super tasty. If I can find some good veggie sausages this will be an easy goto. (Note: I baked it in two dishes initially then combined them for the picture. You don't want to layer it at all, especially if using meat sausages since they may not cook all the way through if you do.)
  3. perhaps the UI auto orients so it just looks like they don't
  4. Other podcasts

In Our Time is my favorite history podcast. It has the same host with a different panel of experts depending on topic. One of my favorite parts is that the podcast always ends with an intern coming in to ask if they want tea. Its the most British thing ever and I love it. Reposting the list of all the podcasts I and a few friends listen to. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fVaYAJkhhZ8gAvasA0Jk6eAsh1XMFNrlbEqzzYOtTDU/edit?usp=sharing
  5. The Next President

I am extremely worried, she has really high unfavorables and a past of scandals both real and imagined. The wrong piece of news at the wrong time could flip this election.
  6. Other podcasts

Podcaster voice being annoying has turned me off several casts I would probably like. I am not going to listen to an annoying voice for an hour.
  7. The Singularity

"We have no idea how we might begin to engineer it, not least because we have very little understanding of how our own brains and intelligence work." So much this.
  8. Things to look forward to?

It sounds like they will stack actually, but only the same units and a limited number. I wonder if the new city stuff will be more or less tedious than late game city building in 5
  9. Things to look forward to?

Doesn't sound like they are fixing any of the micromanagement tedium from 5
  10. You can colonize and build frontier outposts outside your borders.
  11. The patch broke my save, couldn't zoom out past the sun. Damn that game was going well.
  12. Turns out playing as a slave owning, repulsive, xenophobe who just conquered another empire makes your neighbors nervous. Who knew?
  13. I have gotten steamrolled twice trying to be a conqueror. The first time I think I might have declared war on a fallen empire accidentally, the second time one declared war on me. Time to start a third game as a friendlier race I think.
  14. Episode 355: Stellaris

I wish there was more discussion about how this game stacks up against Master of Orion, Galactic Civilizations etc. instead of focusing on how it compares to other Paradox games. Good episode though.
  15. In a lot of 4X games complexity translates to lots of micro, I hate micro, so YAY!
  16. How big of a download is it?

  18. http://www.destructoid.com/review-stellaris-358688.phtml "As for Stellaris, the complexity falls somewhere in between Civilization and Crusader Kings. Luckily, it has a brilliant tutorial approach that is sure to help newbies and veterans alike get acclimated to the various systems at play. Rather than have a dedicated tutorial option, where players go through a stilted and guided version of the game, Paradox has integrated the tutorial into the main game."
  19. Exactly, it could be anywhere from one less menu that CK2 to an actually accessible game.
  20. They have talked about this being their most accessible game ever, but until I actually play it I don't really know what that means.
  21. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

    He made another one
  22. Post your face!

I was at Festival of Nations teaching children about Krampus. First time I have ever worn Tracht. It was a lot of fun.
  23. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

I am a huge fan of setting something up to kill them when I am not around/in the same room, explosives are often an easy way to do that.
