THE LAST LEVEL IS TOO HARD! I think I could do it if I had a coop partner.

I personally don't have a problem with them, there are girls who wear much more sexualised stuff at my local gym. I've seen some people complaining on gaf. Still, including a practically naked dude as well as a practically naked girl is something I like. I think 8 has taken the place of Double Dash as my favourite Mario Kart game. It's just so good. The latest DLC fixed one of my 2 issues (no map on screen), but I really hope they fix the battle stages. If they do, it'll be a damn hard MK game to beat.

I love it when cutscenes are rendered. One of my biggest pet peeves in RPGs is when my character isn't carrying the weapon I spent 20 hours grinding for, or the helmet that I got from killing the super boss dragon guy while in the cutscene.

Separating the art from the artist is difficult. While my instinct is that they should be entirely separate, it's hard to get the idea that their child abuse/sexism/racism doesn't affect their work, and I really don't want to be consuming something that has paedophilic/sexist/racist undertones.

Super Time Force Ultra. Really enjoyable game, I loved how it's styled like a cartoon network show. The game play is really fun too, but I didn't like how collectables were so important. There were certain points that you use one guy to do something, ditch him or her, then continue from a previous point so that the original guy is grabbing a collectible, and the new one is progressing through the level - if that makes any sense. Well, when you get that cooperative action going, it's very satisfying. The characters are all quite individual, and all of them have their uses. I found progressing through most levels, the sniper was by far the best, but once you get to bosses, all of them have their uses. The story might be entertaining to some people, but I didn't really pay attention to it. It was a bit weird, and I was too eager to get back into the game proper. I personally would like to have it on the Vita, I much prefer playing indie games on a small screen in bed. So I doubt I'm going to get deep into the hardmode levels, but I still really enjoyed it.
  6. It is, it's really obvious. The difficulty is getting over a habit ingrained from like 100 hours of playing PvE. I managed a parry in PvP last night. I was super happy about who I did it to. This jackass jumped me, flinging lightning bolts while I was still fighting some enemies. When he finally came close I took him down with a parry. Probably pure luck, but felt real good.

I'm totally up for more characters in their panties. Super Smash Bros will be the better game for it. Maybe Shulk is in there to balance out this:

I'd recommend getting the jelly before the spring. It's wayyyy more useful. It lets you deal with some early enemies which are really hard when you first start out. Try different weapons on each enemy, you'll likely find that one is the weakness. The vegetables can be used to make soups and healing items in the menu. Good luck!

Damn! That's a good find. I found one on ebay for £28 with the controller, but there's stilla few days to go. I'm basically only interested in it because of this: http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/4-/20729031/737230383/Xenoblade-Chronicles/ListingDetails.html £1000! That made me laugh, hard.

I mean the emulator on the WiiU. That's great to know. So wait, it works with the classic controller, which is essentially the same thing as the WiiU pro, but not with any of the WiiU controllers? (Ugh these naming conventions are so annoying to type out.) That's really annoying. I'll look up the prices, if they're more than £60 overall, I probably can't justify the purchase. By the looks of things I'm going to have to find it second hand. £65 for a 3 year old game is ridiculous.

Has anyone tried Xenoblade on the WiiU Wii emulation program? I'd really like to play it, but I don't want to go out and buy a nunchuck for something that could play terrible on the new console. Also it sucks that you can't just use the WiiU tablet to control it. Edit: JESUS CHRIST! It's £41 on amazon! That's basically full price for a 3 year old game.

    So where's this google calendar?!
  13. Feminism

I hope what I said hasn't made you feel bad, or stupid for liking JonTron. I like plenty of dumb comedy, just not his "brand." Hell I've watched hundreds of hours of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and that's really low brow stuff. I was also thinking about TotalBiscuit's response which amounted to "I'm going to take the middle ground, people on both sides are extreme." That's just such a bullshit non-statement. How exactly do you take the middle ground between harassment with gender prejudice and no harassment with hopes of gender equality?
  14. I did some more PvP. Damn is it hard to get out of the habit of holding my shield up constantly. Got beaten by a lot of people who were using the guard break attack thanks to my PvE habits.
  15. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

I made a spreadsheet of all the games I want. The idea is to save money by only buying one per month, forcing me to wait for sales on others. I've noticed 2 things: 1) Holy shit, the WiiU has some good games coming. 2) Why is everything crammed between September and November?
  16. Cookie Clicker

Frozen cookie takes out the math, which is the bit I find most interesting. It also only clicks once every 1/250th of a second, as opposed to once ever 1/1000th of a second with this autoclicker.
  17. Cookie Clicker

Clicks once every millisecond. Shit just got real.

Wife beaters are the best. In the UK the lager Stella Artois is often referred to as wife beater juice, or wife beater for short.
  19. Feminism

    Wait...that's not ironic?
  20. Cookie Clicker

Firstly: I'm not saying you have to like it. Just that your reasons aren't really applicable. For instance, while WoW starts as an epic adventure into a new world, it quickly progresses into how much dps/hps/tps (well the last one is pushing it) you can put out. Anything less than optimal isn't considered ok, it's considered useless. Also, you got to the space ships and have made the conclusion that there's no interesting choices or mechanical difficulty right? That's like starting up the first "kill 5 wolves" quest in WoW and saying that there's no reason to coordinate with 24 other people.

  22. Feminism

I can't stand that word because I've seen it applied to any male who likes video games and cartoons and is over the age of 18 (so basically me).
  23. Cookie Clicker

Cookie Clicker is awesome. I spend far too long doing cost : production value analyses before I choose each upgrade. Everything has to be the most cost efficient for me to purchase it. If that's not a game, I don't know what is. Also, why does it have to be funny to be good? It's basically an addictive exercise in math.
  24. Feminism

You make a good point, I guess its my instinct to assume it's teenagers because I don't see how anyone over that age can possibly be so immature and in most cases downright disgusting. Also the twitter conversations like the one above involving Jeff Gerstmann seem so incredibly childish. The replies like "What does he do then?" just screams child to me, since you know, anyone with any sense would have just used google instead of asking for the information from the person they're arguing with. I suppose most of the people I see doing the talking on forums or twitter all engage like a teenager would. Spelling mistakes, basic childish language, not doing any research (although I guess that's evident in the whole movement), logical fallacies coming out the ass, anime avatars. Jon Tron is basically a teenager in every sense of the word, except the literal, chronological meaning. I don't actually know what he did, so I don't really want to comment on that, but his videos are totally adolescent, and aimed at that demographic.
