I have to agree that ME3 is a great third person shooter. Kinda a lack lustre Bioware RPG though. The dog's bollocks is good, bollocks is bad. Sort of like it's the shit is good and it's shit is bad. Don't ask why the bollocks of a dog are better, I don't think there's an answer to that.

Goddamn I hate wine culture. I mean, I like wine (if there's no pale ale), but all the http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2013/jun/23/wine-tasting-junk-science-analysis'>bullshit around it drives me crazy. On the topic of adulthood again: I think when I went on a dinner date was a moment I realised I was no longer a teenager. At 25 it's not acceptable to go on a date to a cinema, you have to go to dinner, or coffee. That sucks, there's nothing to hide behind, you need to fill any silences, and if you get drunk, you make a bad impression. What's wrong with people! Why did this become standard?! (I blame the fucking Americans - no offence intended. If it wasn't on TV, the British date would be at the pub which is much simpler.) I need those social buffers to talk to a relative stranger, don't take away the mandatory silence or the social lubricant.

I just moved into a place with no washing machine. I've been without one for over a week now, with no sign of a cheap second hand one on the horizon. The landlord said he couldn't be bothered to install one, but reduced my rent by £10/month. So if I find one for £110 or less, I'm winning. Although the thought of installing it worries me. I'm no plumber.

The feeling of discovery is what makes me prefer ME to ME2.You're learning about new species and a galaxy humanity has lived in for millions of years and that feeling made me want to read the codices. ME2 is better technically, but I found losing that sense of discovery made it the lesser of the two.

Can someone explain twitter to me? I'm starting to get intrigued about it, but I know nothing of how to use it/what it's for. I'm also at a loss as to why people should care what I have to say when throwing it out into the internet void.
-
Huh, I rarely do. Generally when I get it, I use it up fast. I hate the idea of wasting any super energy that might be coming my way. Next time I play I'll hold onto it and see if there's ever a "perfect moment."

That's amazing.

I still like control the most, it feels the most tactical. Plus with a competent team you can basically just play it like team slayer. Yeah Arc Blade seems a little over powered in my opinion. The Titan ult is basically 1 enemy 1 kill, unless you're super lucky and there are a few gathered together (which rarely happens in my experience). Arc Blade on the other hand regularly ends up with 2+ (leaning on the +) kills. I've yet to get the upgrade to the Titan ability that sends a wave in the forward direction (I'm using the remaining AoE currently), but maybe that'll even things out, although I seriously doubt it.

The Strikes totally make this game for me. Kirk Hamilton was spot on when he said you never feel like everything is under control no matter how many times you do the strike. I just wish I had a stable group to play with. Randoms can only go so far.

Yeah, the farming is ridiculous. I did it for about 30 mins and got bored. I hope that shit it hotfixed. Also: please tell me you posted that on the Destiny/Bungie twitter. That'd be fantastic.

If you ever see me on, and you're doing crucible stuff. Invite me. Might not always have a mic (my girlfriend thinks it's hilarious to start shouting when I'm talking), but I'm always up for a good crucible team. Other news: I got my first autorifle yesterday. My KD ratio in crucible went from 1:1 to about 2:1. It's a good gun. Shame it's blue.

6 legendary engrams. 6 blues. Why? If they wanted legendaries to be rare, just drop less engrams. Nothing is more disheartening than turning in a purple and getting a blue.
-
Urgh. I tried a heroic strike at level 23 with two randoms who were both 21. Took an hour of constant failure before I gave up. SO BORING. I'm never doing one of those again unless I'm way over geared, or have people I know on mic. I only did it because I felt pressured to get the vanguard marks this week so I can stay at a similar level to other people (Plus I absolutely hate my primary and I'm desperate for an upgrade).
-
That's really important as you get higher level. If you don't care much for a gun/piece of armour, just leave it lowest rank. Waste of materials.
-
Level 6?! Holy crap, I guess that makes a huge difference, my guy is level 2. Alright. I'm farming there, looks way better than the place I tried before.

I thought they were XP bonuses, but mainly bragging rights like in Halo.

Fuck yeah! Dependence and Zelda. I am a little disappointed with the result too. Not for the same reasons as a Scots person, but mainly out of curiosity. It would have been absolutely fascinating to see how it worked if there had been a yes vote. The only problem now is that if Devo Max happens, there might be a solid UKIP presence in the House of Commons. Something I'm not particularly excited about (then again, I'm not excited about the current government, nor was I excited about the previous).

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I think a lot of love for KotOR is similar to the love for FF7. I was a young teen at the time of KotOR's release, and so I have a huge amount of nostalgia for that game. Not to mention that the writing seems a lot better when you're 13 years old and haven't been exposed to every trope or cliche in the book. It was also a shining beacon in a mountain of shitty Star Wars games, and really cemented my love of western RPGs. Plus it's a turn based game that feels real time (or at least did at the time). Which is something quite difficult to achieve in my opinion. -
Where are people getting legendaries from? I've only seen 2 drop, and they were in PvP (something I don't do a lot unless someone else is online). In PvE I've not spotted anything better than a blue engram.

As an Enchanter in WoW, this is a totally valid, and sometimes necessary thing to do. Damn you people and rep. I'm without internet at home until next week. I'm going to fall behind with gear! D:
-
You know what? I'm probably fine with that.
-
I keep doing that. But the way I see it, is that I won't get good, or understand a weapon unless I force myself to use it all the time. Low impact sucks in PvP though.

I don't think I will consider myself an adult until I can talk to a random child and they do as I say without question. Pretty sure that's the test. So far it's not going well. Probably because I look about 18 when I'm 25 (I still get ID'ed if I want to buy alcohol, something my friends find amusing). Mid twenties to early thirties is a funny age. You're not really in a defined boundary of young or old, and so it can easily swing both ways. I spend time with people who smoke and drink a lot, and spend time with people who are all about work and sorting out their mortgages. It's a weird age. Teenagers think you're too old, 40s+ think you're too young.

Super Smash Bros. (Spoiler: Snake Kills Ganondorf)

That's a good point. Don't want to burn out. I just joined a video games society aimed at undergrads just so I have people to play smash with on WiiU.
