I'm having some rage issues recently. I've always had a pretty short fuse, but I seem to be blowing up over the most trivial shit. I don't like it, but holding the anger in just makes me feel like I'm missing something. It's gotten to the point that I've actually shouted at co-workers, which is awful. They shrugged it off and we laughed about it a day later (it was over them wearing the wrong lab coat all the time), but it's still pretty awkward. Never done that before so I really feel like I need to get my anger under control again.

I loved New Londo, it's proper freaky, and has some really cool enemies. Plus I loved/hated that the ghosts actually acted like ghosts and were able to move through walls. Frustrating but so many games have ghosts just as normal creatures.

I went to a "high" population server. I made a character on "very high" but I don't like to wait to play. 5 mins load is exaggeration, but it's not that far off considering it takes time to load in, (takes time to change class), takes time to "instant action."
-
The serve I chose is the only one without a wait time to join. Fuck waiting 5 minutes to join then another 5 minutes to load into a map.

I had the exact opposite experience last night. I was trying to play for 30 minutes and found nothing but empty maps that I had to slog through to find one player. Kept hitting instant action and it just moved me to another barren place. Came close to un-installing it last night because I had such a shit time with it.

Both of my bosses are on holiday. It's amazing. Beer at lunch, going home at 3pm. Also, fuck summer. I haven't had hayfever in years, but my eyes are burning, I'm sneezing violently every 10 minutes, my nose is constantly running and if I go to a park to bask in the sun, I break out in an incredibly itchy rash. Why must I be allergic to everything in summer!?

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS
Griddlelol replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
Man I remember Neopets. It competed for my time with some weird Alien game. I don't really remember anything about it other than that I was allowed to play it. The Alien game had like an alien thing that looks like the classic "Gray" and you could give it a trench coat and uzis or something then send it out on some weird text adventure RPG thing. Does any one else remember that? -
Following the thread Good game is good.

Persona 5 - 2015 the year of the PS3 / Persona Q - 3DS

Not really, just the Treehouse footage from Nintendo. It sort of looks like Persona, except instead of high school, it's idols, and instead of demons it's Fire Emblem characters. -

Would this be the place to talk about the entity that is now called Revelation of the Illusion #FE? Because it looks fucking rad. -
My biggest issue is load times. It takes too long to get into a game on ps4 for my liking.

Yeah, I found myself fumbling the controls a lot. It required you to remember a fairly long sequence of button presses/releases to proceed and that frustrated me to no end. I also didn't enjoy the combat, and I thought the games artistic direction/style was either gross or lacking, but whatever, can't love every game. A lot of people like it so it's well worth recommending to people, and it has coop (although I never played it) so that gives it a big thumbs up in my book.

I tried sniper briefly, but it was the worst time as it was a close range battle and the pistol is weak compared to the assault rifle/shotgun. It seems like it would be fun, but for some reason the stuff required to get a vehicle is severely limited. I wanna drive a tank!

My biggest beef with the game was the checkpoint system. There's an absurdly difficult platforming challenge, followed by a cut scene then another platforming challenge or boss. The checkpoint returns you either before the 1st part or before the cut scene, which just caused me to abandon it. Checkpoints before an unskippable cut scene are the number 1 cause of me quitting games.

Not sure, when you're choosing where to spawn there's a squad option, but I just went for instant action because I wanted...action. Is it a pay2win game, because I feel like some people take a bunch more hits than me and can kill me from a thousand yards without breaking a sweat? Maybe I just suck (which isn't unlikely).

Do something with your day. If all you're doing is looking for jobs on the internet then that doesn't require you to be up at usual times. Force yourself to go out and talk to employers or agencies and eventually you'll get back to usual. Source: I had the same problem when I finished University.

I played a bit of this on PS4, and it feels odd. There were a couple of really good moments where both teams where throwing grunts at each other and just getting mown down constantly. Then there's shit moments when someone on the other team is a god and destroys everyone. Also, in a few battles I hit "instant action" and got teleported to a dead zone with nothing going on. What I did like about it, was that I didn't give a shit when I died. It felt completely irrelevant since it had very little impact on my team.

I always thought of things like Zoo and Nuts to be a lot more softcore, not really porn because they don't contain any nudity. As far as I'm aware, generally just women in skimpy clothes. I've never been exposed to playboy, but I always assumed it was more highbrow than the English versions which are basically tits, cars and beer. I recently bought a copy of men's health thinking it might have some good dietary/fitness tips. Lol. It reads like it was written by teenagers, where everything is a hyperbolic cure or cancer. The fitness articles are nicely interspersed with similar ads masquerading as articles, and all of it is based on "bro-science" or things that are so out-dated my dad would find it amusing. How do these magazines last with the internet around? There's way better information, and it's all free. Edit: How do the softcore porn magazines last too? There's anything you could want at the click of a button, and it's all in video form.

My play time says 7 days and 3 hours. That can't possibly be right. I wonder if you leave it in suspend mode while you watch Netflix on PS4 it counts the time...

Huh, I have to find this you must build a boat. iOS right?

I'll try fighting my way out. That just doesn't feel satisfying in a stealth game though. I'm looking for C4. I've found 2 but I can't remember where I found them and where I haven't explored. It might be more bearable if I approach the game differently. I just find the camera is almost actively working against me maintaining stealth. The resets I can do are either 1) suicide by guard or 2) close the program completely then go through the lengthy start up. I remember MGS4 being awfully fun. I was bad at the stealth because I played a lot of splinter cell before it, and they have very different ideas about what makes you visible/invisible. It was still super fun though. I have just finished Ground Zeroes too, and that feels almost perfect in terms of control.

I'm really not enjoying mgs2. The camera and controls just make the whole thing awkward, like I'm battling with the game. Tack on the fact I have no idea what I'm meant to be doing and I doubt I'll see this game through. Oh and why isn't there a way to restart after I get caught? Instead I have to wait 3 minutes for the guards to kill me or close the game completely. Kinda annoyed, because despite the control problems with mgs1, I did just fine. There was a clear goal, and I got lost occasionally, but at least I knew where I was meant to be going.

What games do you play when you have 5-15 minutes to kill? Can be mobile, but I rarely play games on my phone.
-
Took me around 10 hours on my first try, and as my first metroidvania. If you have already played a metroid, you'll probably be faster.

Yeah, I honestly done give a shit about Gwent. I tried it once and it just bored me when I wanted to be hunting down monsters. I just made it to Skellige. It's real pretty.
