Dark Souls 2 (Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor))
Griddlelol replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
I'm trying to pimp myself out right now, but only one person bit, and I immediately ran off a cliff. There seems to be this weird suicide squad on the ps4 version. It's so funny. Every time I touch a pool of blood about 5 phantoms just run off a cliff or into some water. The best part was getting to the lost Bastille via ship, there's a creepy stair way prison, and a lift at the end. Seeing like 5 phantoms sprint down the stairs and suicide at the lift made me think there was something terrifying at the top. But also cracked me up.- 1284 replies

Thanks for the help with Thorn last night. That strike turned out to be really fun. Actually that whole quest line was just great.

Dark Souls 2 (Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor))

I was seriously enjoying SotFS but I got distracted by Destiny. It's good though. It's hard to find a bad From game. The Knights of Heide wandering around are a pain in the ass though. I don't enjoy co-op (well I like to do things myself, then go back to help other people), so I refuse to do that. I'm at a point where I have 3 areas to choose from which is awesome.- 1284 replies

I've had that too. Hilarious. I've also had one where the final strike I do leaves the enemy frozen in place like a statue. That's one was pretty creepy.

I still don't understand how to use the100.io, it says I can join 3 groups, but each time I try to join another, it kicks me out of my current group.

Oh, I've not bothered with the bounties, I'll get to them, but I was trying to max both my marks. I guess I've already received it this week. Maybe my titan could get another one. I'm going to try and do the weekly/nightfall tonight and if I can't find a group, I guess I'll try to work on the dreaded thorn bounty.

The worst part about tipping, is that every time you do it, you're contributing to the problem. The service workers don't get paid minimum or living wage because they get tips. They get tips because they don't earn enough. But I can say that, I live in the UK where tips are optional.

I'm going to chime in with my bullshit opinion: I ignore the money. It's completely pointless.

My hunter is now level 29. I've had the weirdest luck. 2 legendary snipers have dropped, 4 epic weapons and a single chest piece (which I already found a legendary for making that a downgrade. Not a single epic piece for my hat/gloves/boots. Bah! I'm really liking PoE though, it's a fun mode, I just wish the first 2 fights weren't there. They're easy and boring, it's the last 2 and the boss which are a lot of fun. I had a fight with the Cabal, where I could not stay on the ground. Every time I tried to land and recover, I was being shot from a different area. So I was dancing around picking off people while my two team mates focussed down the boss. It was so much fun! I was constantly red health, got loads of kills and indirectly kept my team safe by harassing all the AI. Where do you get the keys for it? I had 1, but it doesn't feel like it's worth running without a key.

Not used to using twitch, but do they not archive any more? I'd like to see some of the stuff already run.

I hit level 25 today. Pretty surprised at how fast I managed it. I also took a risk and bought a legendary chest engram from Xur...and I got Crest of Alpha Lupi! Awesome! Great chest piece for both PvE and PvP. I'm using a scout rifle for PvP, and it's not as bad as I thought. I think it's because it's got the automatic fire upgrade. So are none of the Hand Cannons from vendors worth buying? That sucks. I have the quest to get Thorn on my Titan, but it's at the shitty part where you've gotta do loads of PvP with a specific weapon. I have no void damage weapons (and I need to PvP on the Hunter to get his reputation up). That reminds me, it's lame that reputation is tied to character rather than account. Not a huge deal, but just means you have to play a main to farm marks.

Best in slot. Sorry assumed it was common lingo in Destiny. MMO speak. Oh hey thanks for the list. I'll probably set to trying to get some of those this weekend. Well yeah, that's my issue, I feel like they kill me from what is a long way away. My grey shotgun never managed to OHKO, but maybe I was too far when using it.

I tried rocking a grey level shotgun, but it was a 2HKO so that as a counter didn't work for me, but that's more about my gear than something being inherently wrong with using shotguns to counter shotguns. It's also super map specific. In some maps, the shotguns are basically useless, or people aren't using them. In others, they're king. Once my hunter hits 20 I'll be able to set up for that. I'm not too interested in making autorifles work in PvP, I just was shocked at how weak it was. As my only green weapon I assumed it'd have more of a kick to it. The guns I like the most are hand cannons and pulse rifles, but they never dropped for my titan, he only ever managed to find scout rifles (which I guess are OK, they're like the hand cannon's boring brother). Are there any databases of BiS guns from vendors ready for when I'm going to kit out my hunter?

I got to what I thought was the end, pushed past it excitedly, then the game kept going... I burned out after that. I want to finish it, but I feel like it's suffering from Fantasy Genre Ending Extender Syndrome. Just like Lord of the Rings.

I'm lucky in that I have absolutely no jealousy issues. Stuff like that doesn't cross my mind. And the time zones will only be 1 hour apart (with her 1 hour ahead which is great because I like to go to sleep early). I'm going to try, but because there's no definitive date for her to move back to the UK, it concerns me. If it was "I'm going here for X months/years" I could handle it, but it's just "I'm going here because I can't find a job." So it feels like it'll just go on and on until one of us gives up. Also I do not want to live in the Czech Republic, there's nothing there for me, while she actively wants to live in the UK.

I find the Pvp to be pretty relaxing actually, but there's one gun that infuriates me: the shotgun. I don't understand how it's allowed to be a 1HKO from a body shot. I don't care if someone headshots me with a sniper, I can appreciate the skill involved in that, but someone one shotting me with a shotgun as I turn a corner is just boring. Is there even a way to counter it? Don't follow people unless you know for sure they don't have a shotgun? Don't ever turn a corner without throwing a grenade? Bleh. Other than that, it's pretty awesome, although what happened to Autorifles? I got a green one and started using it and my K:D dropped way down, it feels so pathetically weak compared to the hand cannon. I have to empty a clip into someone to guarentee a kill, which completely negates the ability to fight more than one person in succession. While the hand cannon you can easily kill people one after another if you aim well.

I, like many others went from loving to hating Bravely Default about the midway point. Good game, but bad game. Fire Emblem: Awakening and Monster Hunter 4U are the only two games you need for the 3ds in my opinion. They're both 10/10.

I hate the idea of blaming my parents for any failures I have, but I'm struggling with owning my problem of comfort eating. It's all down to my parents using food to reward good behaviour and make me feel better when I was sad. Now it's so ingrained I really struggle with it, but because it's me, I should own it and fix it. Not sure how to fix it without consulting a psychiatrist, which is way out of my price range.

For me it's that one of the things I value most from a relationship requires being with someone. Not sex solely, but everything that goes with living with someone. Being in contact when sitting watching TV, cooking together, helping out with chores. That stuff means a lot to me, and it all disappears in a long distance thing. I've tried it before with an ex and it failed badly. Also, I'm awful at phone calls, even video calls. I just run out of things to say because I feel like there's loads of pressure to talk. It makes it seem like I'm not interested in talking with someone.

I really want to finish Danganronpa, but it seems like the kind of game I would be better suited to just sitting down and playing through in one or two really long sessions. It doesn't lend itself well to playing while watching TV, or playing before bed (then forgetting everything instantly).

I had a blast in PvP yesterday. I'm no where near as bad as I thought. I started out on the Vita since my partner was playing splatoon, and I was dying and never killing anyone, but once I switched back to the PS4 controller, I had a pretty good time. I was amazed at how good I am with the sniper. As in, not absolutely useless with it. It's also a really fast way to level. So much faster than PvE.

It has a lot of breakable platforms, plus a Gryphin that guards a doorway with pots of lava and spikes. The worst part is, after a while I could get past that stuff reliably, but then there's a relatively simple jump that I kept over-thinking because I was tense from the first part, and ended up dying to it every time. I beat the last night. I have gone from finding the game ok, to actively liking it. I can't play it for more than an hour or two at a time though because it's so stressful. Which isn't great because if you stop within a level you go lose all check points, so you have to commit to finishing a level each time you play.
-
Ah, ok. I might give that a go some point. I just came to the conclusion that I'm pretty bad at using the Titan's abilities. Either I fluff the aoe ground smash or use it too soon and kill a single shank, or I pop bubble and people complain it's in the way. Maybe I'd be more suited to the other classes. It's just a shame they look so skinny!
-
Sounds like a good idea, but surely it's super hard missing all your important skills. Plus you have ass weapons. Seriously ass weapons.

That makes me want to level up a hunter. I'm kind of bored with my Titan, I don't really find the supers to be that much fun, but I can't bring myself to level again.
