Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready
Griddlelol replied to SuperBiasedMan's topic in Idle Banter
Lasagne is the plural, lasagna is the singular. Since it's a pasta dish, Italian people use the plural (spaghetti/spaghetto). So as usual, the European way is correct. -

Mario Maker is such a weird game for me. I like playing it for about 20 minutes at a time, until I get frustrated because I'm awful at Mario. Despite my incredibly sporadic playing pattern, I still have around 20+ hours in it. It's unbelievable!- 1367 replies

Roach hates bridges. Motherfucker will stop at EVERY goddamn bridge. Drives me nuts.

Awesome! Thanks. This will be great to have on in the background while writing.

Man, I've been getting stuck on world 1 recently. It turned into something that was so easy, I could switch off and get through. Now I switch off too much and end up getting shot or beaten to death by maggots. You can't stop concentrating in Nuclear Throne for even a second.

Pickles go on anything. They're top tier food. Man I want some pickles on a burger right now. -

Open lasagne?! That sounds awesome. I hate making lasagne so much because it's such a faff to get it all in the container. While the pictures aren't great...it's a pretty decent idea. -

After the first boss I'm not really enjoying the DLC. Don't really know why, maybe I'm just not in the mood for this kind of high difficulty at the moment. -
Ok I get it, it still sounds pretty complex though. I've just joined Lifehold squad every time, not really knowing what I'm doing.

Can anyone explain briefly how the multiplayer system works. I have no clue, and it's apparently quite good.

I like this idea, mainly because it means someone else is thinking of things for me to cook. -

Just listening to the Giant bomb GOTY podcast, I have the exact same experience with Undertale as Jeff Gerstmann. It's boring to play, but everything everyone says about it makes me want to play it. It's just that it feels like the game is pushing back on me by feeling like work with boring puzzles and terrible mechanics. It's good to hear other people say it gets a lot better after the first 2 hours. -
I guess mine would be: 1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain 2. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate 3. Splatoon 4. Bloodborne 5. Mario Maker There's a bunch of games I've not really played from 2015. I feel like I'd really enjoy Sunless Sea if I could sit down and play it for a while. The Witcher 3 is just the biggest pain in my side. I love it, but I can't play for more than an hour or two, because the combat infuriates me so much. It's just so goddamn bad. I wish there was an option to just turn all that shit off and make it a fantasy detective simulator.

I picked it up. I forgot how much I enjoy listening to podcasts and shooting stuff. The mechanics are just so satisfying.

As a lapsed Destiny player, is £19.99 a decent price for The Taken King? I've been seriously considering it for a while, but I don't know how much enjoyment I'll get out of the game, especially as it seems like everyone is done with the content now.

I played on PS4 yesterday and my god, I was like...a god. I made a mistake and died, but it was significantly easier. I absolutely love playing it on Vita though. It's a perfect fit. I upped the auto aim to max, and that makes it play a bit more like using a DS4, but it's still harder. I use random too. It gives some pretty hilarious results, and if I didn't use random, I'd just use Crystal all the time. I can't get the hang of Robot because I can never remember if robot eats the primary or secondary gun. I always eat the wrong one, leaving me with no ammo.

But you still have to engage with the mechanics. If they're not the point, why are they there, and why are they so dull? I might give it another try if I have time. -
Basically the same as me then. I find it more enjoyable than spelunky though.
-
I haven't even made it to the throne yet...It's actually surprisingly hard to play on vita.

I think I'm done with Undertale. I played it for about an hour and a half, and while it's super charming, I get it now. Once I got what it was doing, I just found it to be a bit of a chore. So I'm done! -
My problem with the combat stems mostly from that it's either mind numbingly easy, or you get one shot, but the way to avoid that is the most boring tactic in the world (shield, attack, retreat ad nauseam). This was mixing between highest and second highest difficulty. For the DLC I just put it on easy because I realised that the combat is the least interesting part of the game, so why even bother engaging with it? It's just such a shame that they make you fight so damn much, when the whole system is boring and completely lacks depth.

I can completely understand. The Witcher jumps from high highs to real low lows. The lows tend to be around anything that involves combat or moving around. I found I could look past it because I just enjoyed travelling around the world, and some quests were just great.
-
That quest is weird, I got the joke, but is it really a joke if it does the exact same thing it's making fun of other RPGs for doing? In the end, that quest was like 5 minutes, I don't think it's worth rage quitting over, especially as there's so much more wrong with the game than that quest.

That video actually makes me want to watch the movie. I've been dreading it and avoiding it so far.
