This is kinda gross, but this site calculates how much money you've theoretically spent on games. And then also works out possible sales price too, assuming you've bought every game in a sale. I've spent somewhere between £1605.49 to £4502.88. ugh. http://steamdb.info/calculator/?player=N1njaSquirrel¤cy=uk

Idle Thumbs 165: KeLo. Is. Here.
N1njaSquirrel replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Does that make rings his sperm? O_o Also RE 2D Dark Souls, I picked up Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and that game is fucking hard and it's kicking my butt. But I love it. It reminds me a lot of Shovel Knight in many ways. -

Peter Serafinowicz was a reference to Dark Souls 2. He plays Pate, as well as the male grunting noises. The weirdest thing about the Charlie Brooker cameo though is that he's not even the main attraction of the DLC. It's called 'Hunt the Grey Wolf' and you have to kill a Hitler double. And he's not even mentioned in the DLC description. You'd think it'd be a good selling point. And to go as far as to mo-cap him? I dunno, seems a bit silly to me. Here's the picture I was talking about: -
I mean, any complaint that's likely to occur in this forum would be a first world problem, right? I'm not such a big fan of that meme, as surely it's all relative to your own experiences, and it just serves to make me feel bad for even complaining in the first place. I'll luckily never have to worry about cable packages though, as I'm British. Instead we just get no decent telly at all, hence I don't have a TV license. I haven't watched telly in so long that adverts surprise me when I go to a mates house who does have telly.

What the heck? That's really bizarre. I worry that this will just worsen over time, as more companies muscle in on the streaming buisness. I know that Aniplex? Ani-something in the UK has a streaming service on some shows. Of course you have to pay premium on them to watch them too. It all seems really counter-intuitive to piracy, as people would surely just torrent the shows that they can't get on their preferred site. They should all just hug it out and let shows be on other sites.

that game sounds nuts. Even more so because it was on the SNES. Was it a well recieved/popular game? I can't even imagine how it looks. flippin' nuts.

To me, her other two fingers are there, but there are bandages between each finger, making the gaps between the fingers larger. he other hand is presumably out of shot, holding the bandage. It is awesome though.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.
N1njaSquirrel replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
So do I. But it's not enough for me to buy a whole game just to see him in one DLC, where he's literally a walk-on part. This was, however, enough of an excuse for the studio to bring him in and take weird pictures of him in a less-than-appealing skin tight black bodysuit holding a rifle. Games are weird. That game studios have enough money to hire TV personalities like Charlie Brooker and Peter Sarafinowich is a strange thing. -
Wait no, that can't be right, or we'd see the other arm. Unless Junior mint is holding samuel L Jackson's arm. I'm up for pitching in again.

Wake Me Up Before You IndieGoGo: A Crowdfunding Thread

This has always been my favourite worst kickstarter. I don't even know how I found it, but it's hilarious: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/richardgnw/thera?ref=nav_search It's so blatantly trying to copy Touhou. It's just so bad.... Also I don't know whether I want to support MN9 to have an english dub. I do want that game though, so I'm glad it's being reopened for backers. I missed out last time. -
Good call on Barakamon Twig. That show was great. Totally heartwarming and charming. When I'm old I want to live in some washed-up backwater farming village in Japan, doing fuck all and wondering how I'm still paying for shit. I really hate Funimation mainly because they lock ALL their shows to the US only. And then they do fucking shit like never release One Piece DVD's in England, despite just sitting on the rights for no-one else to get. They then had a twitter 'campaign' asking people to retweet something if they were interested. They of course posted this at like 2AM, so nobody saw it, and then went 'welp no one in England wants this show. Here's the proof...' Seriously fuck those guys. It wouldn't surprise me if more money finds it's way back to the animators. They only sub, and don't dub like Fanimation does. Also I'm pretty sure Barakamon is streamed by CR, as the torrent was in 1080p, and I know Fani only streams up to 720p. It wouldn't surprise me if it was US only or some shit like that.

I'm pretty sure it's clever word play in japanese. But I'm probably wrong. It's called hotaru no nikki, and I think pronouncing hotl#NiQ in japanese sounds like hotaru no nikki. I'm probably wrong. Either way the shop keeper won't care, as it's a digital download game only.
-
Yeah, the latter one. The live stream of the first episode of the new season was so popular that it crashed CR for a bit, and they then released the episode about an hour or 2 later.

I guessed at her name. Actual research into sonic boom depresses me. Sticks especially. It's like a board of directors stabbing at what kids think is 'fun' and 'cool' these days. I hope there's another one that's got a skateboard, glasses and rad hair. "You see Tails, We all know the Jews are Lizard Men, and Hitler was merely trying to get rid of the alien scurge from our planet." "Drink the cool-aid guys! It's super tasty!"

Ye I gots it. It's good. Although it is the same. Blocks will be pulled, and the supposedly 'innocent' grandpa captures children and throws them into statues. Plot twist: The babies were actually evil and the grandpa was saving the world. You are the harbringer of evil. Also you unlock the port really early on, which allows you to see other peoples creations, which is really cool, as some people have talent dawg.

I don't think that's the problem with it, as with that logic you could fire bomb the windmill before you even get up the tower. The main problem to me is that there is no logical connection between the windmill and the poison. There is no visible environmental traits to show that it's the case, making it a very esoteric solution. However, now there's so many messages in front of the dammed thing it's hard to miss.- 1284 replies

Guys, Friday Night Dinner is back! This was one of the funniest British comedies for me last year, and season 3 continues to be hilarious. I guess this is like the British attempt at Modern Family? (which is also great) It's kinda crass at times, and the awkward factor is dialed up to 11 in some scenes, but the way it all plays out is hilarious. Has anyone else seen this show? This was one of my favourite scenes from the most recent episode:

In the new one there's dlc where by you can shoot the renowned critic Charlie Brooker. If you know who he is. This was enough of an incentive for my friend to buy it. -
I hate Wagamama. They insist on putting wasabi into fucking everything. As if that's what they do in Japan. Even their chocolate cake. The fuck. At least they're not claiming to be authentic any more. continuing the derailment, I usually tip in England, but the restaurants where I live (cambridge) just automatically add a 10% service charge. As if they get a right to get this 10% even if they are doing a shitty job of waiting me. (that is the right word right?) I've had times where we've waited for over half an hour for dessert because she didn't realise we've ordered it. Sure it was with the mains, but that's just bad service. and they charged the 10%! Now I just sound like an angry raving loon over nothing, but it really gets my goat. I'd naturally give a 10% tip regardless. Probably more. To have it forced on me isn't cool. I should point out that waiters in England do get paid a decent wage. They're not living off their tips like in the US.

I got an email from Xbox today. And two things struck me: a ) God damn I forgot that my avatar looks like a child snatcher. RIP Rare. b ) Britian's Best Selling Home Console in 2013? Really? I mean, even if it is, why would I care about that? Who cares? Why the fuck is it there on an advert for a system I surely already own as otherwise how else would I be getting this email. It's totally baffling to me.

Just a heads up - it'll take a while in game before you get to the bosses that are in the demo. Don't be expecting to fight a Lagiacrus straight away. You'll have to kill a fair few Jaggis before you get there. The demo is a pretty good way of seeing if you like the battle system and control system. the control system is unlike anything I've played before, and there's a really good chance you'll be struggling to understand how to use it, but after a while, you'll soon realise it's actually really solid for what it's worth. I played it without a CPP. I also don't think it controls like ass, apart from the water bits (which they removed from MH4U). Also I think there's a lot less grind too. Thanks to the farm and shops which stock useful items (like rare meat) I only fight large monsters, and my farm generates all the herbs, blue mushrooms and honey I need. Same thing if I need bugs. Resource points can be a tad lame, but that's where the fishing bay comes in handy. Just sell dem eggs! They're not used for anything else except resources. Basically grind for items that are not large monster drops are all but eliminated for me now.
